Step
Part 1 of 4: Cleanse the Skin
Step 1. Start with clean hands
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Bacteria and dirt on your hands can cause breakouts or irritation.
As much as possible, avoid using scented soaps and perfumes. Many fragrances contain allergens, which can irritate sensitive skin and cause allergic reactions
Step 2. Tie your friend's hair so it doesn't disturb his face
For long hair, pull it back and tie it or use a hair clip. Headbands or headbands can be used to hold bangs, children's hair, or short hair from falling onto the face. The face must be completely exposed so that facial treatments can be carried out effectively.
Step 3. Ask your friend to lie on his back
Support their heads with pillows, making sure they are comfortable and relaxed.
You may want to limit distractions by turning off the television and cell phone. Play some soothing soft music if you like
Step 4. Remove makeup
Pour makeup remover cream onto a cotton pad and remove all makeup from eyes, lips, face and neck. Provide enough cotton for this step.
When performing the steps in this facial, never pull on the skin. Apply gentle strokes, especially around the eye area, as the skin in this area is very thin and delicate
Step 5. Apply a mild facial cleanser
We recommend that the facial cleanser you use is adjusted to your skin type (oily, dry, sensitive, normal, prone to acne, aging). Dermatologists recommend using a cleanser that doesn't contain alcohol because it can irritate the skin. Pour a generous amount of cream into the palm of your hand, then rub your hands together to spread the cream evenly for easy application. Start with the chin area and then sweep the cleanser all over your face using your fingertips in circular motions.
Step 6. Use the sonic technology facial brush (sonic brush) with the cleansing cream
If you have enough money to buy a sonic-tech facial cleansing brush, use it for a deep clean. This battery-operated brush is gentle enough for facial skin, and uses sonic technology to exfoliate and remove dirt that lingers deep within the pores. Follow the instructions on the product because each product may have a different way of using it.
Step 7. Clean the cleansing cream
You can do this by using a clean damp cloth or cotton swab.
Step 8. Pat the skin dry
Use a clean dry towel. Never rub the skin while drying as this can cause irritation.
Part 2 of 4: Peeling the Skin
Step 1. Apply a facial exfoliating cream (scrub)
Pour a generous amount of gentle exfoliating cream into the palm of your hand and then rub your hands together to spread the cream as you would a cleansing cream. Apply this exfoliating cream in circular motions to the face and neck, but avoiding the eye area (stay away from the area under the eyebrows and above the eye sockets). Use a very light touch; You don't have to try to push the cream into the skin.
- Exfoliating creams get rid of the build-up of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. The widely acclaimed result is that the skin has a smoother and fresher appearance as healthy skin cells have been exposed.
- If you don't have an exfoliating cream on your face, you can work around this by using a gentle cleansing cream (you can use the cream used in Part 1) then add a teaspoon of granulated sugar and mix well.
Step 2. Make natural exfoliating enzymes instead of facial exfoliating creams
Mash 6 strawberries with cup (60 ml) milk in a blender. Apply the mixture to the face while massaging following the instructions in Step 1.
- The enzymes in strawberries work to break down dead skin cells, and the milk soothes the skin.
- Avoid using exfoliating enzymes and exfoliating creams at the same time, as this can cause excessive exfoliation and even damage the skin.
Step 3. Steam with a hot cloth
Dip a clean cloth in hot water. Cover your face with the cloth and let it sit for five minutes.
For those who have sensitive skin or suffer from rosacea, we recommend that you skip this step. Steam can make the condition worse
Step 4. Rinse the skin
Use a soft, clean cloth that has been dipped in room temperature water or use a cotton swab.
Step 5. Pat the skin dry
Use a clean towel.
Part 3 of 4: Deep Cleansing with Mask
Step 1. Apply the face mask
Apply the mask to the face so that it forms a thin, even layer, avoiding the sensitive eye area. The masks available are very diverse; choose a mask that suits your friend's needs. You can use finished products sold in the market or make your own.
- For oily or acne-prone skin: Mash cup (about 50 g) of blueberries with a fork, then mix with 2 tablespoons yogurt (which contains active cultures), 1 tablespoon rice flour, and 1 tablespoon witch hazel. Leave the mask for 15 minutes.
- For dry skin: Mash half a ripe avocado and mix it with 1 tbsp yogurt (which contains active cultures), tsp honey and tsp oil (olive, coconut or almond. Let stand for 10-15 minutes.
- To shrink pores, make an egg white mask by mixing one part raw egg white with 5 drops of lemon juice and a little mayonnaise. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes.
Step 2. Let the mask dry
The time it takes is about 15 minutes, it could be more or less, depending on the type of mask.
- Add chilled cucumber slices and place them on your friend's eyes to soothe and reduce puffiness.
- Allow the mask to dry, but not for too long until the mask cracks and falls off.
Step 3. Steam with a hot cloth
Just like the exfoliating step, wet a cloth with hot water and cover your face with the cloth. Leave it for five minutes.
As previously recommended, skip steaming for rosacea-affected or very sensitive skin
Step 4. Clean the mask
Wet a cloth with room temperature water and gently clean the mask.
Step 5. Pat the skin dry
Use a clean dry towel. Let the skin slightly damp.
Step 6. Refresh skin
Wet a cotton pad with a small amount of facial toner lotion and gently rub it over the skin. The toner works to restore and repair the skin with antioxidant and skin nourishing ingredients. These ingredients will continue to stick to the skin after the cleansing process and before applying moisturizer. There are many types of toning lotions on the market, apart from homemade lotions as an alternative. You'll need to choose a toning lotion that's suitable for your friend's skin, but whatever you choose make sure it's alcohol-free. Alcohol can cause free radical damage, which actually reduces the skin's ability to produce healthy collagen.
- For oily skin, you can choose witch hazel.
- For dry or sensitive skin, try applying almond oil as a toning lotion.
- For acne-prone skin, make your own toning lotion by mixing cup (177 ml) of boiled green tea and cup (60 ml) of raw apple cider vinegar. Green tea acts as an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, while vinegar restores the skin's natural pH.
Part 4 of 4: Finish with Moisturizer
Step 1. Apply moisturizer in upward strokes
Use the moisturizer your friend usually uses, but be careful how you use it. Use an upward stroke, while massaging the skin, moving upward from the base of the neck towards the forehead. This will stimulate circulation, and the moisturizer will lock in the moisture generated during the treatment process.
Dermatologists recommend using a moisturizer that contains a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30), which is highly recommended if you plan to go outside. Or you can also give your skin a break from chemicals by using a moisturizer without SPF
Step 2. Ask your friend to stay out of the house for at least an hour
Their skin becomes sensitive after treatment so it's best to let the skin rest without exposure to sun, weather, pollutants, etc.
Step 3. Tell your friend not to wear makeup for the rest of the day
As previously mentioned, skin conditions become sensitive after facial treatments. Let your skin enjoy the day without makeup, giving it a chance to breathe and rejuvenate.
Step 4. Repeat this facial once every one or two weeks
When combined with a daily facial care routine, regular facial care will increase the freshness of the skin.
Tips
If you want to do a facial at home, ask your friends to bring products they usually use and they like, such as toning and moisturizing lotions. This step helps avoid unexpected irritation from using a new product
Warning
- Schedule facial treatments well before attending a special event. After the treatment your friend's face is likely to be red or sensitive, so it's best to do the treatment at least one day before the event.
- Be careful if your skin reacts to any new product, including treatments using natural ingredients. Whenever your friend feels pain or discomfort during the facial treatment process, clean the face of the product used with warm water and leave it on for a while.
