There are several ways to exit Outlook, depending on whether you're using the Outlook app on your computer or using the web version of Outlook. This article will guide you through both.

Method 1 of 3: Exit Outlook on Computer
Step 1. Close Outlook
After selecting the Outlook window, press alt=""Image" + F4 to close the window.
If you want to switch to a different account in Outlook or have Outlook ask for a password when opened, read the bottom of this article
Step 2. When Outlook has been closed, you have exited Outlook
Method 2 of 3: Exit Web version of Outlook
Step 1. Open Outlook in a browser by visiting www.outlook.com
Step 2. In the top right corner, click your name or username
Step 3. Click Sign out
After that, you need to log back in with your account to use the web version of Outlook.
Method 3 of 3: Switching to Another Email Account in Outlook
Before you can switch to another email account, you need to create a new account.
Step 1. Open Control Panel
In Windows 7, click the Start button, then Control Panel. In Windows 8, open the Start screen and look for Control Panel.
Step 2. At the edge of the screen, click User Accounts and Family Safety, then click Mail
Step 3. Add a new Outlook profile
In the Mail Setup window, click Show Profiles, then click Add. Enter a profile name, then click OK.
Step 4. Set up an email account
Enter your account information. If you need help, contact your ISP or Outlook administrator.
Free email service providers such as Outlook.com, Google, Yahoo!, or iCloud, provide guidelines for adding email accounts from these services to Outlook
Step 5. Set Outlook to have Outlook prompt you to select a profile before opening
In the Mail Setup dialog box, click the Prompt for a profile to be used option to select that option.
Step 6. Click OK
When you reopen Outlook, you will be asked to select the profile you want to use.
