This wikiHow teaches you how to watch a fully made version of Star Wars using ASCII characters (by computer users who seem to have too much free time) through a Command Prompt window on Windows or Terminal on a Mac.
Step
Method 1 of 2: For Windows
Step 1. Open the Command Prompt program
You can open Command Prompt by pressing Win+R and typing cmd. Windows 8 or 10 users can also use the Win+X key combination and select Command Prompt from the menu that appears.
To watch the ASCII version of Star Wars, your computer must be connected to the internet
Step 2. Install Telnet
Most recent versions of Windows no longer include Telnet, the client required to connect to ASCII Star Wars movie files. This version of Windows includes Windows Vista, 7, and 8. You can use the Command Prompt to set up Telnet as long as you are logged into your computer with an administrator account.
- Type in pkgmgr /iu:"TelnetClient" and press Enter.
- On Windows 10, go to “ Control Panel ", click " Programs, and select " Turn Windows features on or off " After that, mark the option " Telnet Client ", click " OK ”, and wait for the installation process to complete.
- If prompted, enter the administrator password, or confirm your choice to continue the process if you already have administrator account access.
Step 3. Close the Command Prompt window
To close it, type exit or click the close button (“ X ”) in the corner of the program window.
