The essence of Sims 3 gameplay is changes to Sims, but it may be difficult for you to apply major changes to Sims once the game is running. Thanks to some of the cheats built into the game, you can access the Create a Sim tool any time you're in the middle of the game. The cheat will cause a bit of trouble, but you can apply major changes to all your Sims this way!
Step
Step 1. Make sure that the game is updated
This cheat is only available for the final version of Sims 3. If you're using an early version of Sims 3 and never updated it, you won't be able to access cheats.
- Make sure that the computer is connected to the internet.
- Click the "Game Updates" tab on Sims 3 Launcher, then click the "Update Now" button. The update will be downloaded and installed to your game.
Step 2. Save the game
Using these cheats can cause errors in the game so it would be wise to save the game before starting to apply the cheats just in case something goes wrong and you need to go back to the point before the cheat was used.
Step 3. Open the command console
You can open it at any time by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C.
If the console doesn't open after you press the three keys, some users report that it can be done by pressing Windows key + Ctrl + Shift + C
Step 4. Type
testingcheatsenabled true then press Enter.
The special menu will be activated, and it will work when you click on something in the game while holding down the Shift key.
Step 5. Change the character to another Sim so that the Sim you want to change is not the Sim being controlled
You won't see the character change option if you try it on an active Sim.
Step 6. Hold down the Shift key, then click the Sim you want to change
Select "Edit Sim in Create a Sim" from the menu that appears.
You cannot change Pregnant Sim, Imaginary Friend, Ghost, Vampire, or Mummy
Step 7. Wait for the Create a Sim (CAS) tool to open
The process may take a few minutes.
Step 8. Apply changes
Be aware that applying changes will usually result in an error because the game wasn't designed to do that. Not all changes will take effect when you finish changing Sims, and the game may crash when you exit CAS.
