Part 1 of 3: Using the Settings Menu (“Settings”)
Step 1. Touch the “Apps” button
This button has 9 squares arranged in a 3 x 3 grid. You can find this button at the bottom of the home screen.
Step 2. Open the device settings menu (“Settings”)
Touch the settings menu icon in the application list. Usually, this menu icon looks like a gear.
Alternatively, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the gear icon. It's in the upper-right corner of the screen
Step 3. Swipe the screen and touch About phone
This option may be labeled "About device". You can find it in the "System" or "Device manager" section.
If the settings menu has a title at the top of each segment, tap the “ More ”.
Step 4. Check the phone number
The number appears at the top of the page, next to the text " Phone Number ". If the number displays as " Unknown " (or the number displayed is incorrect), you can use the Contacts app to fix it. If you're using an older model phone and the number doesn't appear on this page, move on to the next steps to find your phone number:
- Touch " Status ” in the "About Phone" menu if the number is not displayed at the top of the "About Phone" page.
- Touch " SIM status ” if you still can't find the phone number.
- Check the entry next to "My phone number".
Part 2 of 3: Using the Contacts App
Step 1. Touch the “Apps” button
This button has 9 squares arranged in a 3 x 3 grid. You can find this button at the bottom of the home screen.
Step 2. Open the Contacts app
Usually, this app icon looks like a human. Touch the icon on the “Apps” menu to open the app.
Alternatively, you can open the Phone app and tap the “ Contacts ” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Touch your name
The name is at the top of the page, below the profile photo (if you've set one). You can also tap on the profile photo if you want.
If you're viewing your contact list in the Phone app, tap your name under the " Me " label, at the top of the screen
Step 4. Swipe the screen and see your phone number
The number is displayed under the " Mobile " heading, at the bottom of the screen.
Part 3 of 3: Fixing a Lost Phone Number
Step 1. Touch the “Apps” button
This button has 9 squares arranged in a 3 x 3 grid. You can find this button at the bottom of the home screen.
Step 2. Open the Contacts app
Usually, this app icon looks like a human. Touch the icon on the “Apps” menu to open the application.
Alternatively, you can open the Phone app and tap the “ Contacts ” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3. Touch your name
The name is at the top of the page, below the profile photo (if you've set one). You can also tap on the profile photo if you want.
If you're viewing your contact list in the Phone app, tap your name under the " Me " label, at the top of the screen
Step 4. Touch Edit
This tab is at the bottom center of the screen. The icon looks like a pencil.
Step 5. Swipe the screen and touch the green plus sign + button next to "Phone"
This option is the first option at the top of the personal information segment.
Step 6. Enter your complete phone number
Use the numeric pad at the bottom of the screen to enter the phone number, along with the country and area code (if applicable).
Step 7. Touch Save
This second tab is at the bottom of the screen. The phone number will be saved. After that, the phone number will be displayed in the settings menu (“Settings”).
