This wikiHow teaches you how to use a scanning app to scan a QR code using your Android.
Step
Step 1. Open Play Store on Android

in the app drawer or on the home screen.
Step 2. Type QR code reader into the search box and tap the search button
A list of QR reader apps will be displayed on the screen.
- This wikiHow teaches you how to use the QR Code Reader with the application that Scan developed, but you can choose the reader you want. Just make sure you read the app reviews before downloading it.
- The steps should be similar for all QR code reader apps.
Step 3. Tap on Scan developed QR Code Reader
The developer name is listed under each application. You can scroll down until you find the application that Scan developed.
Step 4. Tap Install
A pop-up page will appear asking for permission to access information on Android.
Step 5. Tap Accept
The QR Code Reader application will be installed on Android.
When the installation is complete, the “Install” button will change to “Open” and you will have a new icon in the app drawer
Step 6. Open the QR Code Reader
This icon looks like a QR code in the app drawer. Tap the icon to open the app, which will look like a standard camera screen.
Step 7. Highlight the QR code in the camera frame
Pretend you're taking a photo, only you don't press any buttons. When the scanner reads the code, a pop-up page containing the URL in the code will appear.
Step 8. Tap OK to open the site
This step will launch a web browser and redirect it to the URL in the QR code.
