This wikiHow teaches you how to download the Facebook app to iPhone.

Step 1. Open the App Store app on iPhone
Tap the App Store icon, which looks like a unique white “A” on a light blue background.
Step 2. Touch Search
It's a magnifying glass icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch the search bar
This bar is at the top of the screen. You can see the phrase " App Store " in this bar.
Step 4. Type facebook into the search bar
This is the official name of the Facebook application available on the App Store.
Step 5. Touch Search
It's a blue button in the lower-right corner of your iPhone's keyboard. Once touched, the App Store will search for the Facebook app in its library. The Facebook name will appear on the top row of search results.
Step 6. Touch GET
It's to the right of the Facebook app icon, which looks like a white "f" on a dark blue background. A pop-up menu will appear after that.

If you've downloaded the Facebook app before and then deleted it, you'll see a “ download ”

- If you see the button “ OPEN " and not " GET ”, Facebook is already installed on the iPhone.
Step 7. Enter your Apple ID or Touch ID password
If Touch ID is enabled for the App Store on iPhone, you will be prompted to scan your fingerprint. Otherwise, you'll need to enter your Apple ID password yourself. The Facebook app will soon be downloaded to the iPhone.
- This process can take a few minutes if you are on a mobile data network or a slow internet connection.
- You may not be prompted for your Apple ID or Touch ID password if you've downloaded the Facebook app before.
Step 8. Wait for the download to complete
Once Facebook has finished downloading, the progress circle on the right side of the screen will be replaced by a “ OPEN ”.
You can open the Facebook application by touching the “ OPEN ” or the Facebook app icon on the device's home screen.
Tips
- This process can also be followed on the iPad and iPod Touch. However, the App Store search bar on the device is in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- Once Facebook has finished downloading, you can open it to enter your login information and use it right away.
