Step 1. Log in to your Facebook account via your computer or mobile device
Tinder retrieves information about you from your Facebook account. So, to change your age on Tinder, you need to change it on your Facebook profile.
You can't change your birthday on Facebook often. So you probably won't be able to change it if you just changed it
Step 2. Click the "Edit Profile" link or the "Update Info" button
Step 3. Find the "Basic Info" section then update your date of birth
Double check that your date of birth has changed to a new date. If you can't update your birthdate, it's possible that you recently changed it so that Facebook has temporarily banned you from changing it.
- Some users have reported that they can use this Facebook Help page to change their date of birth.
- Make sure your age is visible to your Facebook friends by clicking on the privacy option in the drop-down menu.
Step 4. Open the Tinder app on your phone

This will open the Settings menu.
Step 6. Scroll down and tap on “Delete Account“
You will be deleting your Tinder account so the people you match and the conversations you have with will be lost.
You can try using the "Log Out" option, then log back in to update your account. Unfortunately many users report that this method doesn't work. Thus, it is likely that you will have to delete your account
Step 7. Delete the Tinder app
This action is important because it can delete the data stored on your phone.
- iPhone - Press and hold the Tinder icon on the home screen. Once all the icons start moving, tap the "X" in the corner of the Tinder icon. Confirm that you want to remove the app.
- Android – Open the "Settings" application and select "Apps" or "Applications". Scroll down until you see Tinder. Tap the Tinder icon, then tap "Uninstall". Confirm that you want to remove the app.
Step 8. Download and install Tinder again
Use your phone's app store to download and install the Tinder app.
Step 9. Log in with your Facebook account
Your new account will be created, and Tinder will retrieve the new age information from your Facebook profile.
