Method 1 of 4: Preparation
Step 1. Choose the perfect hair styling product
Here is a list of some of the ingredients you have at home. Don't worry, though, that you may not have these materials on hand, as a random bun can be styled easily with just your fingers and a hair tie. If you want to style your hair in a random bun for an important event like a wedding or dance, you can plan ahead and go to a store that sells styling products and accessories.
- For a simple ruffled bun up-do, you'll need about five minutes, your fingers, and a hair tie.
- If you have more time, get a brush comb, wide-tooth comb, and a hair band. Hair bands without clips are a better choice, to reduce the chance of hair breakage.
- The best hair condition for a ruffled bun is two days after shampooing.
Step 2. Create a more classy hairstyle
Choose a mousse that is light in texture so that your hair is more supple but still looks soft and natural. To make your hair look thicker, choose a mousse type that adds volume to your hair (volumizing). This is usually stated on the packaging. Method 2 of 4: A Simple Random Style Bun
Step 1. Create a quick, simple and elegant look
Use your fingers to smooth the hair and comb it back or sideways into a ponytail. Have a hair band or hair tie around your wrist to use to collect the hair. Once all of your hair is gathered, tie it with a hair band until it's tight but not too tight.
Step 2. Raise your bun
Next, you can twist the hair tie into a long strip and then wrap it around the hair band and tuck the ends into the hair band. Alternatively, when you tie a ponytail to the elastic, let some of the hair out (but not all of it) and keep the main bun loop in place.
- Pull any remaining untied hair into the elastic in a ponytail to create a larger bun and/or let some strands fall for a random look to your hair.
- Take the sides of the bun and widen the bun by carefully pulling the ends of the hair. Slice and draw the center of the circle to form a U.
- Pull the ends that come out to the bottom of the hair tie to the left and right to make it more fluffy. Tuck some unwanted hair back into the hair band, the one that fell out of the knot. Wrap a few loose strands of hair around the elastic and secure them with bobby pins if you wish.
Step 3. Create the bun look in various positions
To create a higher bun, flip your hair and collect it all with your hands. This will add volume to your hair and help remove any bumps/bumps. To create a lower bun, gather your hair in the middle of your head or close to the back of your neck. The ponytail can be as high or low as you want. Gather your hair into a fine ponytail while smoothing out the knots/bumps with your hands. If you are unable to smooth out unwanted bumps/bumps by hand, use a wide-toothed comb. Hold your hair with one hand and make a bun with the other.

Tie your hair once or twice in a ponytail. Wrap your hair in a ponytail like you would a ballet bun. Let the ends of your hair pop out of the loop in this random style.
Step 5. Make a bun on the longer hair
On 2.5-5cm of shoulder-length hair, wrap your hair and tie it with a hair band. Make a second loop over the first. Be sure to hold the ends of your hair so they don't come loose and open the second loop. (Note that the first loop may get tighter due to the second loop on top.) Tie the two loops together and then tie them back in a loose knot.
Alternatively, if your hair is long enough, wrap it in a ponytail and tie it slightly loosely with a hair band. Tie your hair and tie it with a hair band in one loop
Step 6. Finish your look
When you're done, gently brush your hair down to the crown of your head, and comb the ends to make it look less messy. Spray a little hairspray if you plan to wear this random bun for a few hours in conditions that might spoil its shape.
Method 4 of 4: Additional Touches for the Created Bun (Optional)
Step 1. Add the thickness
With your fingers, loosen the front hair from the hair tie and add thickness. This appearance looks more classic, more elegant, and suitable for going to the office.
Step 2. Add a bandana or two
Wear your favorite bandana or an additional bandana for your hair, 5 cm from your hairline. If you have blonde hair, use two black bandanas or another dark color. If you have brown or black hair, try using a white bandana or a different color than your hair color.
Step 3. Add decorative elements or other decorations to your hair
Adding a few sparkling embellishments or a pretty flower-shaped accessory will spice up your look. However, it's very important that you don't overdo it. The random bun is a simple and elegant hairstyle. Adding too many decorative elements will make a random bun look too flashy and unnatural.
Step 4. Find the best for you
Play around with your hair until you find a bun you like. Let a few strands of hair loose before you tie your entire hair into a ponytail. Once you're done making the main bun, separate a few strands of hair from the ponytail and twist them into sections and then wrap each twist in the main bun and secure them with bobby pins so they don't slip out and you have a few strands of hair around the main bun. Pull a few strands from the front and sides of your hair to create your ruffled look, or pull a little hair in the back bun to make it look loose and let the strands fall naturally.
Step 5. Spray hairspray all over your hair
Make sure that you spray at a distance of about 18-21 cm. If you want to play a bit more daring, you can buy hairspray that contains glitter, to give it a shimmery look.

There are a few different ways to create a random bun masterpiece. The more you play around with your own style, the more styles you'll like. The most important part of making a random bun is that the shape should look natural and not overdone or too tight. Tips
