Knowing how to defuse bombs in Counter-Strike is a very basic thing when playing on a Counter-Terrorist team, whether in classic casual or competitive games. You could lose a round, or a match because you don't know how to defuse a bomb.

Step 1. Know the right moment to defuse the bomb
You only need to defuse bombs when playing in a Counter-Terrorist team. Your duty in the Counter-Terrorist team is to kill all the members of the Terrorist team before they set the bomb, or defuse the bomb that has been planted by them.
- You can tell that a bomb has been planted because the game broadcaster will say "bomb has been planted".
- You can also notice that a bomb has been placed by means of the timer displayed in the corner of the screen, which shows how long it will take for the bomb to explode. After the bomb explodes, you will be counted as losing the round.
Step 2. Know where the bomb is attached
There are two places where a member of the Terrorist team might plant a bomb: Site A or Site B. You'll need to pay attention to the mini-map or the information that the team members give you via the in-game chat.
- The map will show you the way to the mounted bomb. Bombs will be clearly marked on the map.
- Your team members may also notify you of a bomb-mounted place via chat.
Step 3. Go to the right place
Most Counter Strike game maps are fairly simple and are marked with clear directions to where the bomb is planted. In addition to the map in the game, the walls are equipped with paint arrows, which indicate the direction to where the bomb is planted.
Follow team members if you're confused. There's a good chance that they're heading to where you want to go too. It's best if you go to bomb-mounted places in groups, so make an effort to keep up with your team members
Step 4. Go inside the bomb site, then kill all the opponents
Enter the bomb site carefully, and make sure that you look for members of the Terrorist team in there. The Terrorist Team doesn't want you to defuse the bombs, so kill them as fast as you can when you see them.
- The best way to get into the bomb site is strategically and slowly. Don't rush in and shoot recklessly, unless you're really confident in your ability to react and aim at your opponent.
- Coordinate with the team before entering the bomb site. It's best if you strategize with your team members and divide up roles for each one so things don't get all messed up when you step in. Decide who will defuse the bomb and who will kill the opponent. By preparing a strategy in advance, you are in a more advantageous position than your opponent.
Step 5. Find the bomb inside the mounting bracket
The bomb will be in a large container, which is inside the bomb mount. You should be able to hear a "beep" which will increase in volume the closer you get to the bomb.
The bomb consisted of a timer and number pad attached to dynamite. Look for the colored wires that characterize the bomb
Step 6. After finding the bomb, turn your body to face the bomb, then press E
E is the standard button to defuse bombs. If you don't change it, E is the key you should press. After pressing E, you will see the meter starting to fill up. Once the meter is full, the bomb is defused and your team wins the round.
