This wikiHow teaches you how to prevent your Instagram profile from being seen by others. You can do this by setting the privacy of your Instagram account to the "Private" option. This means that people cannot view your profile without first asking and getting your permission. This process will not affect followers who have previously followed your account. As with other related activities on Instagram, you cannot use the Instagram website to change your account privacy settings.

Step 1. Open Instagram
Tap the Instagram app icon, which resembles a multi-colored camera. After that, the main Instagram page will be displayed if you are already logged in to your account.
If you are not logged into your account, type in the username (or phone number associated with the account) and password, then tap “ Login ”.
