This wikiHow teaches you how to download and install apps on your iPhone.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Downloading the App
Step 1. Open
App Store on iPhone.
Tap the App Store app icon, which looks like a white "A" on a light blue background.
The App Store is the source or application that is used to install all the applications on the iPhone
Step 2. Touch
"Search".
It's in the lower-right corner of the screen. After that, the “Search” page will be displayed.
Step 3. Touch the search bar
This bar is a gray text field labeled "App Store". Once touched, the device's keyboard will appear on the screen.
Step 4. Enter the name of the application
Type in the name of the app you want to download.
If you don't know the specific app you want to download, type a word or phrase that describes the app (eg "notepad" or "paint")
Step 5. Touch Search
This blue button is on your device's keyboard. Once touched, the app that matches the search entry will be searched in the App Store.
Step 6. Find the desired application
Browse the list of search results until you find the app you want to install.
Step 7. Touch GET
This button is to the right of the app you want to install.
- If the app is a paid app, you can see the app's price button (eg. $0.99 ”) to the right of the app.

If you've previously downloaded the app, but later deleted it, tap the "Download" button.

Step 8. Enter Touch ID or Apple ID password
When prompted, scan your Touch ID fingerprint or type in your Apple ID password. After that, the application will be downloaded immediately.
Step 9. Open the app
Once the download is complete, you can open it directly from the App Store window by touching the “ OPEN ” previously occupied by the button “ GET ”.
You can also open the app at any time by touching its icon on one of the device's home screens
Method 2 of 2: Reinstalling Deleted Apps
Step 1. Open
App Store on iPhone.
Tap the App Store app icon, which looks like a white "A" on a light blue background.
Step 2. Touch the Updates tab
It's in the lower-right corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch the profile icon
It's a circle with your Apple ID profile photo in the top-right corner of the screen.
If you haven't set a profile photo for your Apple ID, this icon looks like a human silhouette
Step 4. Touch Purchased
It's in the center of the screen.
Step 5. Touch the Not on this iPhone tab
It's in the top-right corner of the page. All applications, both free and paid that have been installed and then removed from the device will be displayed on this page.
Step 6. Find the app you want to re-download
Browse the page until you find the app you want to reinstall.
Apps are displayed in reverse chronological order of download (i.e. the most recently downloaded app will be shown at the top of the list)
Step 7. Re-download the app
Touch the "Download" button
on the right side of the app to download it. After that, the application will be installed on the iPhone.
