It's very easy to connect your Android phone to a network, and you can do this in two ways: connecting to your own wi-fi connection or to the device's hotspot. Hotspots are just like Wi-Fi except the network is provided by the phone, not the modem.

Method 1 of 2: Using Wi-Fi
Step 1. Unlock and unlock your device
If you have a password, enter it now.
Step 2. Open "Settings"
Find and tap the icon that resembles a gear.
Step 3. Tap on Wi-Fi
This will open the Wi-Fi menu.
Step 4. Turn on Wi-Fi
A list of existing networks in your area will appear. If you've ever connected to one of these networks, your phone will automatically connect.
If you've never connected to a network, you'll need to add a new one. Go to the next step on how to add an unrecognized network
Step 5. Enter your SSID/network name
Step 6. Enter the network security type
Usually this is set to WEP.
Step 7. Enter the network password
After that, your phone will be connected to the network.
Method 2 of 2: Using Another Device's Wi-Fi Hotspot
Step 1. Open the "Settings" menu on your phone
Tap the icon that resembles a gear.
Step 2. Open Wi-Fi
Access your Wi-Fi menu by tapping this option in the settings menu.
Step 3. Turn on Wi-Fi
If a hotspot is recognized, your phone will automatically connect to it. This only happens if the hotspot provider has turned it on.
If the hotspot is not recognized, you must add it. Proceed to the next step to add an unrecognized network
Step 4. Enter the name of the hotspot
Step 5. Enter WEP for the hotspot security type
Step 6. Enter the hotspot provider password
Your phone will automatically connect if the hotspot is turned on.
