If you still want all photos in their original (unreduced) quality on your phone before turning off iCloud sync, select “ Download and Keep Originals " first.
Photos that have been uploaded to iCloud will remain in your account. You can remove these photos from the “ Manage Storage ” in the iCloud menu. Even after deletion, the photos will remain in your account for 30 days (in a “grace period”) so that you can download the photos you want before the final deletion takes place.
Tips
