A PlayStation Network account can be created through the PlayStation console or the PlayStation Network website itself. Regardless of the method used, you will still need to complete the registration form with personal information such as your name, location of residence, date of birth, and email address. You'll also need to be able to access your email account to verify your PlayStation Network account from messages sent to your email account.
Step
Method 1 of 3: PS4
Step 1. Press the New User button on the main login page
If you are already logged into your account via the console, you can log out of the account by holding down the PS button on the controller and selecting Log out on the “Power” tab
Step 2. Press the Create a User button
Step 3. Select Accept
Step 4. Select Next
Step 5. Select New to PlayStation Network?
Create an account.
Step 6. Complete the “Join PlayStation Network” form that appears
You need to enter the following information:
- Country
- Language choice
- Date of birth
- City/State or Province/Zip code
- Email address
- Password
- Online ID (username)
- First name/last name
Step 7. Press the Next button
Step 8. Select Confirm
Step 9. Select Accept
Step 10. Click the Verify Now link in the message sent to your email account
Step 11. Select Already Verified on PS4
Step 12. Press the Continue button
Step 13. Select Do This Later
You can connect your Facebook profile to the PS4 account you have created
Step 14. Select Next
Step 15. Select Skip
You can also create a PS Plus account, but you'll need to link your account with a credit card or PayPal account to pay the subscription fee
Step 16. Select Do Not Activate
After that, you will be signed in to the PlayStation Network with the account you created.
Method 2 of 3: PS3
Step 1. Scroll through the page and select Users from the main menu of the PlayStation page
Step 2. Select Create New User
Step 3. Sign in to the PlayStation Network
It's on the right side of the app marquee.
Step 4. Select Sign Up for PlayStation Network
Step 5. Select Create a New Account
Step 6. Complete the form that appears
You need to include information such as:
- Country
- Language choice
- Date of birth
Step 7. Scroll down the screen and press the Continue button
Step 8. Swipe back on the screen and select Accept
Step 9. Complete the second form
You need to include information such as:
- Email address
- Password
- The answer that needs to be typed in the column provided for the security question.
Step 10. Press the Continue button
Step 11. Enter the desired online ID
The generated online ID will be shown to all online users who are already connected to you via the PlayStation Network. In addition, the ID cannot be changed after the account has been successfully created
Step 12. Select Continue
Step 13. Complete the third form
You need to include information such as:
- First name and last name

Billing Address
This address is required if you wish to purchase apps or add-ons from the PlayStation Store via the PlayStation Network
Step 14. Select Continue
Step 15. Select Continue after you have verified your account information
Your PlayStation Network account will be created and ready to use.
Method 3 of 3: PlayStation Website
Step 1. Visit https://account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/ via a web browser
Step 2. Click the Create a New Account button
Step 3. Complete the registration form that appears
You need to include the following information:
- Email address.
- Date of birth.
- Gender.
- Country/Region.
- State (for the United States).

Password.
The generated password must include (at least) 8 characters, contain (at least) one letter and one number, and must not contain repeated letters
Step 4. Check the box I am not a robot
Step 5. Click the I Agree button
Create my account. After that, a verification email will be sent to the email address you registered.
Step 6. Click the Verify Now link in the email you received
Step 7. Click the Continue button
It's on the redirect page after you click the I Agree link. Create my account.
Your account will be created, then you will be redirected to the account page. From here, you can use PlayStation's music and video services. However, in order for the PlayStation Network service to be used to play games on the console, you will need to enter additional information
Step 8. Click the Update Account button
Step 9. Type in the online ID
This ID will be the username that is publicly displayed on the network.
The ID created can contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens
Step 10. Select Continue
Step 11. Select Continue again
The information listed on the “Identity” form must be completed from the initial registration stage. However, you can still fill in the blanks before continuing
Step 12. Enter the address information
Step 13. Click Continue
Step 14. Enter payment information (optional)
- You can enter a credit card number or link your account to a PayPal account.
- A connected payment method is required to purchase items from the PlayStation Store or to create a PS Plus account (required to play online games).
Step 15. Click the Continue button
Your account is complete and ready to use on the PlayStation console.
