This wikiHow teaches you how to upload a new trailer image to a YouTube video on your channel. If you don't want to upload an image yourself, you can use an existing snippet. Since you can't change video footage on the YouTube mobile app, you'll need to use a computer to follow this process.

Step 1. Open YouTube
Visit https://www.youtube.com/ through your computer's web browser. The YouTube main page will be displayed if you are already signed in to your account.
If not, click the " SIGN IN ” in the upper-right corner of the page, then enter your email address and account password when prompted.
Step 2. Click the profile icon
This circular photo (or initials) is in the upper-right corner of the page. A drop-down menu will appear after that.
Step 3. Click YouTube Studio (beta)
This option is in the drop-down menu. The “YouTube Studio” page will open after that.
While it's still in a trial or beta period, going forward this feature will become the main YouTube Studio option. At that time, this option may be displayed with the label “ YouTube Studio " just.
Step 4. Click the Videos tab
This tab is on the left side of the page. You can see a list of all the videos that have been uploaded.
Step 5. Select videos
Find the video with the trailer image you want to change, then click its title. The video page will open.
Step 6. Click the THUMBNAIL tab
This tab is at the top of the video page.
Step 7. Click SELECT IMAGE FILE
This blue link is at the bottom of the page. Once clicked, a File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac) window will appear.
If you want to use an existing trailer image that is automatically selected by YouTube, click the desired image above the “ SELECT IMAGE FILE " After that, you can move on to the last step in this article.
Step 8. Select a photo
Go to the directory where the photo you want to use as a snapshot is stored, then single-click the photo file to select it.
Step 9. Click Open
It's in the lower-right corner of the window. After that, the photo will be uploaded to the video page.
On a Mac computer, click “ Choose ”.
Step 10. Click SAVE
