This wikiHow teaches you how to turn off parental restrictions on your Android phone or tablet. If you have enabled parental controls on the Google Play Store, you can edit or disable it at any time directly on your device. If you use Google Family Link to manage your child's account, you can end account monitoring once your child turns 13. For now, you can only adjust restrictions on the Play Store via the Family Link app.

Method 1 of 3: Disabling Parental Controls on Play Store
Step 1. Open Play Store
You can see the Play Store suitcase icon in your device's app drawer..
Step 2. Touch the menu
It's an icon with three horizontal lines in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Touch Settings
It's in the lower half of the menu.
Step 4. Swipe the screen and touch Parental Controls
It's under the " User controls " section in the middle of the menu.
Step 5. Slide the “Parental controls are on” switch to the “Off” position
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
If you only want to remove the restriction on one category, touch the category, select the desired rating, and tap “ SAVE ”.
Step 6. Enter the four-digit PIN and touch OK
Use the same PIN as the PIN entered when setting up and enabling parental controls on the device. Once the PIN is accepted, all the apps in the Play Store can be downloaded.

Method 2 of 3: Disabling Monitoring on Family Link
Step 1. Open the Family Link app on your parent's phone or tablet
If you manage your child's account using the Google Family Link app and want to stop monitoring, use this method. The Family Link app is marked by a white icon with blue, yellow, and green flags.
If the child is not yet 13 years old, you cannot stop monitoring completely. However, you can disable parental controls for your little one's downloads from the Google Play Store
Step 2. Touch the account you want to manage

If your child is 13 years old and you want to turn off all monitoring, move on to the next step. To disable parental controls on the Play Store:
- Touch the types of content that are allowed to be accessed.
- Determine the reach of your child's access to certain content.
- Touch " SAVE ” to save changes.
Step 5. Touch Account Info
Information about the child's account will be displayed.
Step 6. Touch Stop supervision
A warning message will be displayed.

Method 3 of 3: Disabling Parental Control on Play Store Without PIN
Step 1. Open the device settings menu (“Settings”)
You can access this menu by dragging the notification panel from the top of the home screen downwards, then tapping the gear icon in the top right corner.
This method requires you to clear Google Play Store settings and create a new PIN in place of the old PIN
Step 2. Tap Apps & notifications
This segment may be named “ Applications " or " Apps ” on some Android devices.
Step 3. Touch Google Play Store
You may need to scroll through the screen to find this option.
Step 4. Touch Storage
If you see the option “ clear storage ”, you can choose that option.
Step 5. Touch Clear data and select OK to confirm.
Stored Play Store app data will be deleted, including all parental control settings.
