A good relationship with a life partner is the basis of a harmonious marriage, but this requires struggle and hard work. Good news for Christian couples, you can use God's Word as a guide to live a family life. There are many verses of Scripture that discuss various things about love very clearly and firmly, including a number of verses that explain specifically about how husbands should treat their wives. So that you can successfully build a household according to God's will, treat your wife with love, show respect for her, and live according to God's Word so that you can become a good family head.

Method 1 of 2: Treat Your Wife With Love
Step 1. Respect your wife more than you respect anyone else
According to Allah's will, you must place your wife as the most important person in your daily life and build a household with genuine love for each other. This is in accordance with God's Word in the book of Ephesians 5:25 which states that husbands must love their wives as Christ loves the church and in Ephesians 5:28, husbands must love their wives as their own bodies. This commandment strictly requires that you respect and love your wife.

Step 6. Be trustworthy to show your wife that you love her

Step 1. Prioritize your relationship with God in your daily life
Try to do what is best according to God's will so that your household and marriage remain harmonious and lasting. As a Christian, you must dedicate yourself to God by praying, reading the Bible, and imitating the holy way of life of Jesus. For that, include these activities in your daily schedule, such as reading the Bible every morning, praying with your family every night, attending worship services every Sunday, and praying throughout the day.
Proverbs 3:33 states: "The curse of the LORD is in the house of the wicked, but he blesses the dwelling place of the righteous."
Step 2. Pray that you will be able to make wise decisions
The Word of God in the book of Ephesians 5:23 states that the husband must be the leader in the family: "for the husband is the head of the wife just as Christ is the head of the church. He is the one who saves the body." Don't expect your wife to obey you if you make a wrong and selfish decision. Consider carefully what is best for the family before making a decision.
Ask your wife for input and advice. Have a discussion with him so he can propose a decision from a different perspective that might affect both of you
Step 3. Honestly admit when you made a mistake
Luckily, you can be a good husband even if you're not perfect, but you have to be honest and humble with your wife especially if you do something wrong.
