Halloween is a great time to add a flower arrangement to your main door. Whether you're looking to make a Halloween-themed arrangement or just want to celebrate the arrival of fall, there are lots of interesting ways to make flower arrangements to put on your front door. Some of them are suggested in this article.
Step
Method 1 of 6: Pumpkin Series
Step 1. Buy mini pumpkins
Choose one that is still in good condition, with shades of orange and yellow to suit your taste.
Step 2. Place these mini pumpkins in a circle to figure out how many you need to make a series
You'll probably need about 14-20, depending on the size of the pumpkin.
Step 3. Make a horizontal hole in each mini pumpkin
Keep each of these holes as close to the bottom of the pumpkin as possible, as this will make them invisible when the chain is hanging.
Step 4. Insert a 20 gauge wire through the hole in the first flask
Place the flask in the wire frame of the circuit and twist the wire in the holes of the flask, so that it goes around the frame and keeps the flask in position.
Step 5. Repeat for each flask until they are all assembled in a series
Step 6. Slip the dry moss between the crevices of the pumpkin
Keep the moss from coming off by tying it with wire.
Step 7. Tie a large ribbon at the top of the string, allowing the ribbon along the tie to hang under the string
Trim the ends diagonally to prevent tassels.
Step 8. Hang a wire hook over the chain
Hang the chain on the main door of your house.
Method 2 of 6: Orange and Black Series
Step 1. Choose burlap or tulle for this project
Both will look great. Both are also a bit of a hassle, but fun to work with for a project.
- Choose burlap or tulle in black and orange.
- Use 90 cm of each fabric to form a standard set.
Step 2. Cut the burlap or tulle into strips
Cut to a length of 10 cm and a width of 1.5 cm.
Step 3. Tie the black strips to the string
Then, tie it with orange strips. Make sure there's enough of each color for your set to grab attention.
Step 4. Continue tying the strips by alternating between the orange and black colors
Use a large number of strips; The more people, the better the results.
Step 5. Add embellishments
What you add is up to you, but some suggestions include:
- Pieces of wood with a Halloween design, tied with ribbon or glued together
- Orange and black ribbon
- Paper cut with Halloween design, pasted with glue
- Black and orange fake flowers
Step 6. Tie a knot over the string to hang it
Step 7. Done
Hang it on your front door.
Method 3 of 6: Felt Orange Rose Arrangement
Step 1. Select the orange felt
Use large sheets, as you will be cutting circles from these sheets. Felt you can buy from a craft store. For the shape of the series, choose a natural shape, such as the shape of a series of grape branches. Look at the craft store for natural branching shapes.
You can use cloth instead of felt. To learn how to make cloth roses, look to the related wikiHow article
Step 2. Design the circuit
Knowing the design beforehand will help you determine how many roses you should make. You have the option of placing the roses close together or spreading them a certain distance along the entire length of the series. Your choice will depend on the type of circuit you want to make (poor thread shapes should be completely shrouded, while better thread shapes can be used as decorative pieces). It will also depend on how much time and effort you put into making the felt roses.
If you decide to go some distance and spread the roses along the entire length, you might also want to add some gold felt leaves. These leaves can help the design stay "flowing"
Step 3. Turn the felt into a circle
The circle doesn't need to be perfect, so cut it freely or trace the shape of a circle if that's what you want.
The size of the circle depends on how big you want the roses to be in the arrangement. This size is recommended at 10-25 cm for easy handling
Step 4. Create a spiral shape
Cut each felt circle into a spiral; Start at one edge and cut inward in a spiral, all the way to the center of the circle. The end result will look like a spiral snake. You'll get better at it the more you cut.
Step 5. Roll up and secure the spiral so it doesn't open
This step produces your first rose.
- Start at the edge of the spiral rual and roll inward.
- As you roll, pinch the bottom of the spiral; This shape will form the base of the rose.
- When finished, the spiral should look like a rose. Now you have to secure it––turn the rose over and sew the back; use a few stitches to strengthen it, then knot and tie. Cut all the remaining yarn.
Step 6. Repeat for the other roses
You'll need to make a lot of roses to cover the arrangement, so it's best to take a break and do it in several sessions. Or, enlist the help of multiple people!
Step 7. Attach these roses to the form of a chain
There are two ways to do this:
- 1. Attach the roses with hot glue along the entire length of the string. You have to keep the rose position until it sticks perfectly. It's better if you attach it immediately so that the rose itself can be quickly supported by the series.
- 2. Sew the roses to stick. This method should only work if you're using a natural arrangement and need a little patience, as you'll need to penetrate the string as well as the base of the felt roses.
Step 8. Attach the large tape to the top or bottom of the circuit
Tie a large, eye-catching ribbon of orange ribbon around the wreath and over the roses that are part of the wreath.
Step 9. Tie ribbon or thread in a knot to hang the string
Step 10. Hang it on a wall or behind a glass door
Felt isn't weatherproof if it rains, so don't hang it outdoors unless you're sure your chain won't get rained on.
Method 4 of 6: Candy Corn Series
Step 1. Paint the chain with black paint
Let it dry.
Step 2. Paint the series black with Mod Podge
This will make it weatherproof for outdoor use/on the front door of your home.
Step 3. Use hot glue to glue the candy corn in a circle around the outer edges of your shape
Point the candy corn in the same direction and leave no space between each candy.
Step 4. Come back in the opposite direction, gluing the candy corn in a circle facing the other way
Continue until a circle is complete.
There will be space left between the rows; don't worry, this is why we color it with black paint
Step 5. Repeat
Alternate the direction of the candy corn row until you reach the center of the string.
Step 6. Paint with Mod Podge over the entire set to coat it
Dry.
Step 7. Glue the decorative features at the base or top of the string
This part is optional, but will add a lovely touch. Ideas you can use for these decorations include:
- Black ribbon.
- Paper flower or black fake flower with rhinestone in the center
- Black cat, witch or broomstick
- Whatever you want.
Step 8. Tie a string or twist to the top of the chain to hang it on the front door
Multiple knots will help with stable hanging.
Step 9. Done
Hang the chain on the front door.
Method 5 of 6: Pompom Circuit
This circuit is very simple but effective.
Step 1. Choose a color for your pompom
You can use black or orange, or a mix of both (by crossing the pompoms in the series).
Step 2. Determine the size of the pompom
Large pompoms will make a big circuit, while small pompoms will make a small circuit. This will depend on how much yarn you have and your space requirements.
Step 3. Make a pompom with the color of your choice
Step 4. Attach the pompom to the circuit shape
Use hot glue to attach the pompoms to twigs or other strands. Keep each pompom close together, but don't let the pompoms pile up and break.
Step 5. Consider whether your set needs extra decoration
The wreath can be hung as is or you can add Halloween decorations like a witch, black cat, or maybe a large ribbon.
Step 6. Add hangers on top of the chain
Step 7. Done
Hang it on the front door or anywhere.
Its resistance to water depends on the yarn from which it is made and the degree of water absorption of the yarn. Keep this in mind when you hang it outdoors
Method 6 of 6: Eyeball Circuit
This circuit glows in the dark. You need a little effort to push the needle through the eye. This requires strength. If it's too difficult, use very strong glue to attach the eyes, making sure they are dry and attached before you add the next eye.
Step 1. Wrap the circuit shape
Use black material until the whole set is wrapped. Stick with glue.
Alternatively, color the circuit black or a color that glows in the dark.
Step 2. Place the fins on your fingers
This method can be painful if you don't wear it!
Step 3. Make a hole in the back of the first rubber eyeball
Insert the flat end of the clip into the hole you just made. Enter up to half.
Do this for all the balls. Take frequent breaks, because this work is difficult
Step 4. Press the sharp end into the thread shape
Repeat adding each rubber eyeball after the last, until they are all around the shape of the chain.
Step 5. Before making the "top" part of the chain, tie the hanger
Use black ribbon or other hanging material to make a strong knot. Then, add the remaining eyeballs in this part of the series.
Step 6. Hang it on the front door
Place a black light nearby to help light up the eyeballs for kids who are doing trick or treats.

- With Halloween in mind for trick-or-treaters, candy canes can be a versatile gift. When you're done receiving trick or treat visits, consider removing your set from the door and giving it as a gift to your last visitor!
Warning
- Keep small parts away from babies, children and pets.
- If the circuit is not waterproof, hanging it on the front door could damage it. In some cases, waterproofing may be useful; consult your craft material supplier for more information.
