This wikiHow teaches you how to enter someone's contact information, such as a phone number and address, into your iPhone's address book.

Method 1 of 3: Using the Contacts App
Step 1. Tap the gray icon with silhouettes of people and colorful tabs on the right side of the main screen to open the Contacts app
You can also open the Phone app and tap Contacts at the bottom of the screen
Step 2. Tap the + button at the top right corner of the screen
Step 3. Enter the contact's first and last name, as well as the company name into the First Name, Last Name and Company fields
Write down the name of the contact that is easy to remember so that the contact is easy to find.
Step 4. Tap the add phone button under the Company column
You will see a text box labeled Phone.
Step 5. Write down the contact's phone number
Generally, telephone/mobile numbers in Indonesia are 9-12 digits long, including the area code.
- Some special phone numbers, like Facebook or KFC, only have 3-5 digits.
- If you are entering a phone number from another country, place the country code (such as "+81" for Japan or "+60" for Malaysia) at the beginning of the phone number.
- Change the phone number type by tapping the Home option at the left of the Phone column. For example, you can select the Mobile option if you enter someone's mobile number in the contact.
Step 6. Add more information about the contact by entering the information into the appropriate fields
You can enter the contact's email address, date of birth, mailing address, and social media accounts.
Step 7. When you are done entering the contact information, tap Done at the top right of the screen to save the contact to the iPhone address book
Method 2 of 3: Adding Contacts from Inbox
Step 1. Tap the green icon with the white speech bubble to open the Messages app
Step 2. Select the conversation of the person you want to add as a contact
If the Messenger app is open, tap the back icon (<) in the upper-left corner of the screen to display the entire conversation
Step 3. Tap the button at the top right corner of the screen
Step 4. Tap the contact's phone number at the top of the screen
Select a number if you see several numbers on the screen
Step 5. Tap the Create New Contact button at the bottom of the screen
Step 6. Enter the contact's first and last name, as well as the company name into the First Name, Last Name and Company fields

Method 3 of 3: Adding Contacts from Recent Calls
Step 1. Tap the green icon with a white phone image to open the Phone app
Step 2. Tap the Recents button at the bottom of the screen
It's to the right of the Favorites option.
Step 3. Tap the button in the right corner of the number you want to save
You will see several options regarding the number.
Step 4. Tap the Create New Contact button at the bottom of the screen
Step 5. Enter the contact's first and last name, as well as the company name into the First Name, Last Name and Company fields
