This wikiHow teaches you how to block someone from a chat on imo.im, as well as unblock previously blocked users. To block someone, you must have a chat history with them and the user must not be in the contact list.

Method 1 of 4: Blocking Users Through Mobile Apps
Step 1. Open imo
Touch the imo.im app icon which looks like the text "imo" inside a chat bubble on a white background.

Step 2. Touch the Contacts tab
It's a tab in the lower-right corner of the screen.

On the Android device, touch the “ Delete contact " Android device users can get the "Block" option without having to delete the contact. If available, skip this step and the next.

Step 1. Open imo

If you've blocked more than one user on imo, find the user you want to unblock.

It's a blue button to the right of the username.

Step 1. Open imo

Step 2. Click the CONTACTS tab
It's in the top-left corner of the window.
Step 3. Select the user you want to block
Find the user you want to block in the “CONTACTS” window on the left side of the program window, then click on their name. After that, a chat window with that user will be displayed.
Step 4. Right-click the username
After that, a drop-down menu will be displayed.
- If your mouse doesn't have a right-click button, click the right side of the mouse, or use two fingers to click the mouse button.
- If your computer uses a trackpad instead of a mouse, use two fingers to touch the trackpad or press the lower right side of the trackpad.
Step 5. Click Remove from Contacts
It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu.
Step 6. Click Yes when prompted
