You may be wondering why you can't open World 4 in New Super Mario Bros. Nintendo DS version. Fortunately, you can open it in a simple way that will be explained in this article.
Step
Step 1. Go to Level 4 in World 1
Step 2. Find Mini Mushroom and turn Mario into Mini Mario (a very small Mario)
Memorize the location of the block "?" where you found the Mini Mushroom because you have to return to that location to get the Mini Mushroom.
Step 3. Complete the Level using Mini Mario
Step 4. Replay the Level and get Mini Mushroom
Make sure Mini Mushroom is inside the bubble in the right corner of the screen. If the Mini Mushroom is in a bubble, it indicates that the item (Item) has been saved and can be used whenever you need it. Complete the Level again. After completing the Level, Mario's body may return to being large. However, make sure the Mini Mushroom inside the bubble is not replaced by another item.
Step 5. Go to the last castle located in World 2 and complete the Level to face the Giant Worm boss
Step 6. Tap on the Mini Mushroom which is inside the previously saved bubble
Turn Mario into Mini Mario and defeat the Giant Worm.
Step 7. Watch the cutscene that appears
In the cutscene, Mini Mario will fall into a small hole and walk past a sign containing the symbol "W4". After the cutscene finishes playing, you'll unlock World 4.
Tips
- Try not to jump too often before the Giant Worm comes to the surface because you might land on top of him.
- When battling a Giant Worm, try to stand at the far left or right of the area as it usually won't appear there.
- When you are about to step on a Giant Worm, press the D-pad (directional pad or control used to move the character) button down to step on it.
- Step on the Giant Worm twice using a standard-sized Mario. After that, use Mini Mario to step on it a third time.
