Some people even prefer to keep the shell of the shrimp so that the taste of the dish is more savory
Step 2. Wash the prawns
Wash the prawns under running water. While washing the prawns, make sure you also remove any remaining skin, dirt, or shrimp legs that are still attached. Lightly pat the washed shrimp clean with kitchen paper.
Step 3. Heat the skillet to high heat
Once the pan is hot, add the butter or olive oil. If you don't have both, you can also use regular vegetable oil.
Step 4. Season the prawns
While waiting for the pan to heat up, coat the prawns with salt and pepper. If you like, you can add other seasonings such as garlic, onion, ginger, parsley, or lemon juice.
Step 5. Add the prawns to the hot skillet
Make sure you don't fry too many at the same time to keep the pan temperature stable and the prawns to cook evenly. Occasionally, flip the shrimp to cook the other side. Cook the prawns on high heat for 3-5 minutes or until the prawns turn orange.
Step 6. Drain the prawns and serve immediately
Fried shrimp is much more delicious when served hot or warm. To add to the delicacy, serve the prawns with hot white rice, various vegetables, or pasta with a little olive oil.
