You are diligent in praying, but the inner burden does not go away and your spiritual life is underdeveloped. This article explains how to do inner cleansing by removing the burden of thoughts and feelings. Follow these instructions with an open heart and mind so you can reap the benefits.
Step
Step 1. Find the right place to do spiritual practice
You can practice indoors, outdoors, or anywhere. Choose a quiet, pleasant place where you feel comfortable, for example by setting up an altar or sitting on the terrace lighting a candle.
Step 2. Prepare incense, candles, a small cushion for the seat, an egg, and a bowl
Also provide a match and some sage leaves which play an important role in this exercise. If you want to practice outdoors, prepare a blanket for the seat.
Step 3. Sit comfortably after lighting candles and burning incense
Calm your mind while asking the Creator to hear your request and free you from your inner burdens.
Step 4. Place your palms on your lap and scan your body
Observe the part of the body that is experiencing tension. Honestly admit that you are feeling a burden inside.
Step 5. Do some self-reflection
Ask yourself why do you feel burdened? What happened to hurt your mind? Is it because someone misbehaved, a traumatic experience, or stress that keeps piling up. Whatever the cause, focus on the emotion that comes up while really feeling it. Keep in mind that this exercise may make you feel uncomfortable.
Step 6. Hold the egg with your right hand and touch it to the forehead while continuing to feel the emotions that arise
As you concentrate, imagine the egg absorbing the emotion from your head. Focus your mind as best you can while transferring all negative emotions into the egg so that nothing is left behind.
Step 7. While constantly imagining the emotional baggage that has accumulated inside the egg, place the egg in a bowl and break it open
This method can give you relief and feel good.
Step 8. Take the sage leaves and burn them
Shake the burnt sage leaves to spread the smoke in the air. Make sure the smoke covers your head and chest. After that, put out the fire.
Step 9. Lie on your back comfortably
Relax the whole body starting from the tips of the toes while concentrating on specific body parts one at a time. Don't forget to relax small body parts, for example: lower jaw and fingertips. Visualize your body sinking to the floor while enjoying deep relaxation.
Step 10. Calm your thoughts and feelings so you feel more relaxed
While lying down relaxed with a calm mind and peaceful feeling, imagine your body melting and flowing into the ground. By now, your body is tension free and feels as soft as butter!
Step 11. While still lying down, begin to communicate with the Creator
Anyone can do this practice, including people who don't believe in God. Ask for His blessings so that you are free from the inner burden.
Step 12. Get up when you are ready
At this time, you will feel much lighter than before the practice.
