Home remedies are an option for treating harmless skin conditions such as acne and blackheads. Products that are more natural are certainly safer than chemical products. Egg white is one of the healthy ingredients to nourish the skin, as well as dry and shed blackheads. This method has also been shown to reduce skin discoloration due to acne. By applying several coats of egg white to your skin, you can create a dry mask that can be peeled off from problem areas. Repeated use of this method can eradicate open blackheads from the skin.
Step
Part 1 of 2: Preparing the Egg White Mask
Step 1. Prepare three eggs
You may not need to use all of them. However, since you need to use only the whites, of course you will need more eggs. Although it's not mandatory, try chilling the eggs first to make them easier to separate.
Step 2. Use the eggshell to separate the egg white from the yolk
Once you understand the trick, you'll find that the easiest and cleanest way to separate the whites from the yolks is to use a shell that has been opened. Crack the egg shell in the middle and open it as neatly as possible. Transfer the egg contents from one shell piece to another and allow the whites to drip into the bowl, being careful not to crush the yolks. After several transfers, only the yolk remains in one part of the shell, while the white has collected in the bowl.
- You can throw away the shell and yolk as they are no longer needed.
- Repeat this process for the other two eggs. Collect the egg whites in the same bowl.
Step 3. Use your hands to separate the egg whites and yolks
Another easy way to separate the egg whites from the yolks is to let the egg whites drip between your fingers. Some people don't like this method because the egg white has a sticky or "weird" texture on the skin. However, this method is the simplest way. Crack the egg and hold one hand over the bowl. Pour the contents of the egg into the palm of the hand. The egg whites will drip into the bowl through your fingers, without carrying the yolks along.
Remove the yolk and eggshell, and repeat this method for the other two eggs
Step 4. Use a water bottle
A popular method of separating egg whites and yolks is to use the suction of a plastic bottle to pull the yolks from the whites. Crack the eggs and place them directly into the bowl. Make sure the lip of the bottle is slightly wet to make it easier for the egg yolk to enter the bottle. Squeeze the bottle a little. When you place the lip of the bottle over the yolk and release the squeeze, a suction of air will pull the yolk into the bottle.
- Discard the yolk, wash the bottle, and repeat this method for the other two eggs.
- For more detailed instructions on these and other methods, see the article on how to separate egg whites from yolks. Since this technique has become an important basic technique in cooking and baking, there are a variety of separation methods you can try. If you are not comfortable following the more general methods, find another method that is more suited to your needs.
Step 5. Beat the egg whites (optional)
You don't have to because the texture of the egg white is less important than the nutrition. However, the egg whites will be much easier to spread evenly on the skin if they are beaten. Use an egg beater or a fork to beat the egg whites in a bowl until they are light and foamy in texture.
Step 6. Add lemon juice (optional)
Although not mandatory, the addition of lemon juice helps to remove blackheads. Freshly squeezed lemon juice is the most natural ingredient for an egg white mask, but you can also use store-bought lemon juice. Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the egg white and mix.
Step 7. Add honey (optional)
These natural substances help restore the skin, as well as protect it from infection. Mix a little honey with the egg whites using a fork or an egg beater. Apply the mixture on your face, as if you were using only egg whites.
Step 8. Add baking soda (optional)
It is easy to mix with other optional ingredients. Baking soda has several benefits for the skin. First, baking soda can be a paste that cleans and sloughs off dead skin cells. Second, this ingredient can neutralize the pH imbalance that causes acne. Lastly, baking soda can dry out the skin, as well as eradicate acne and other bacteria. Add a tablespoon of baking soda first, and increase the dose if this treatment turns out to be more effective, without harming the skin.

Part 2 of 2: Applying Egg White on the Skin
Step 1. Apply the first layer of egg white
Egg whites can treat skin discoloration. In addition, this material is also rich in nutrients that are good for the skin. After the first coat dries, the mask can be removed and remove blackheads, as well as skin discoloration caused by acne. You can use your fingers or a small brush to apply the egg white to your face.
Step 2. Let the mask dry
Before applying the next coat, make sure the first coat is dry. All you need to do is apply several layers to create a thick egg white mask on the skin. If the first coat is not allowed to dry, the next coat will merge with the previous one and may not dry quickly or evenly. By applying layers of the mask one at a time, you can create the mask in stages.
Step 3. Use a tissue as a shield between each layer
To make sure each layer separates, but stays “joined”, apply clean paper towels (or toilet paper) over the first layer of egg white. After applying the first coat, quickly apply the tissue to your face. Let this coat dry before you apply the next coat. Lay a paper towel over each layer before it dries.
Step 4. Apply the next layer of egg white
Once you have a base coat of egg whites, you will need to add additional layers. Apply the egg white only thinly and evenly, and allow this layer to adhere to the dried egg white layer. Stick the tissue in the next layer if you followed these steps.
Step 5. Apply a third coat (optional)
Two coats of egg white are usually enough to remove open blackheads. However, if you have a lot of blackheads, it's a good idea to apply a third coat.
Step 6. Wash and rinse your face carefully
Once the final coat (and the entire mask as a whole) feels tight and dry on the skin, it's time to remove the mask. Try peeling the mask off your face, especially if you previously used a tissue. Rinse your face with water and use a mild soap to remove the remaining egg white from the skin. Pat the skin with a towel to dry it and prevent irritation.
Step 7. Repeat the treatment until all blackheads are removed
Maybe blackheads don't disappear immediately after one treatment. Wait for a few days and repeat the treatment again. Apply the mask several times a week until all the blackheads are removed and don't come back.
