Method 1 of 5: Using Google Play Music
Step 1. Open Google Chrome on your PC or Mac computer
This method requires Chrome as you will need to install a specific plug-in or add-on.
You must sign in to Chrome using a Google account that is registered or activated on your Samsung phone or tablet
Step 2. Visit
The main page of the Google Play Music Chrome extension will open.
Step 3. Click +ADD TO CHROME
It's in the upper-right corner of the window. A confirmation message will be displayed after that.
Step 4. Click Add app
Google Play Music will be installed after that.
Step 5. Visit
After that, your music library will be displayed.
Step 6. Click
It's in the upper-left corner of the window.
Step 7. Click Upload music
Step 8. Click Select from your Computer
A computer file browsing window will open after that.
Step 9. Select the music files you want to add
To add it, open your computer's music folder (“Music”), then select a song or folder by holding down the Control key while clicking the desired file/folder name.
You can also drag and drop songs directly in this window, even from the iTunes library window
Step 10. Click Open
The selected songs will now be uploaded to your Google Play account. You can observe the progress of the process through the bar at the bottom of the window.
Step 11. Open Play Music on Samsung Galaxy device
Usually this application icon is displayed on the home screen or page / application drawer. Now you can see the songs that have been uploaded in your device's music library.
Method 2 of 5: Using a USB Cable
Step 1. Connect Samsung Galaxy device to PC computer
Use the cable that came with the purchase of your phone or tablet. If you are asked to select a connection option, select “ Media devices (MTP) ”.
- Use this method to move downloaded music files (eg mp3) to your Android device.
- If you're using a Mac computer, you'll need to have the Android File Transfer app installed. Visit https://www.android.com/filetransfer/ and follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it. Once installed, open the application.
Step 2. Open the “Music” folder on the computer
- If you are using a Windows computer, press the key combination Win+E to open File Explorer, then double-click the “ Music ” in the left column of the window.
- If you're using a Mac, open Finder, double-click the user folder, and then double-click the folder that contains your music collection.
Step 3. Open the “Music” folder of the Samsung Galaxy device in a separate window
- If you are using a Windows computer, press the key combination Win+E to open another File Explorer window, click Samsung devices in the left column of the window, and double-click the folder “ Music ”.
- If you are using a Mac computer, open the “ Android File Transfer, then double click the folder “ Music ” on Samsung Galaxy devices.
Step 4. Drag the music files from the computer to the “Music” folder of the device
Once the file is moved, you can listen to it via the Play Music app which is displayed on the page/app drawer.
Method 3 of 5: Using 4shared
Step 1. Download 4shared from Google Play Store
The Play Store icon can be found on the page/app drawer or the device's home screen. Once the app is installed, its new icon will be shown in the app drawer.
Step 2. Open 4shared
This app is marked by a blue and white “4” icon in the app drawer.
Step 3. Sign in to your account
You can log into your 4shared account using your Facebook or Google account. You can also create a separate account using an email address.
Step 4. Touch the magnifying glass icon
It's a blue circle icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.
Step 5. Touch Music
This option is the fifth icon from the top of the screen.
Step 6. Find the desired song
If you don't know the title of the song, try searching by artist or album name. Touch the magnifying glass icon to run the search.
Step 7. Touch on the song
If you can't find what you're looking for, it's possible that another user hasn't shared the song.
Step 8. Touch Download
The song will immediately be downloaded to the Samsung Galaxy device.
Method 4 of 5: Using Audiomack
Step 1. Download Audiomack from Google Play Store
Audiomack is a free app with a large music library available for download. After installing Audiomack, its icon will be displayed on the page/app drawer.
Step 2. Open Audiomack
This app is marked by a purple icon with a white triangle inside.
Step 3. Touch OK, GOT IT
Now you see a pop-up message requesting access to your phone or tablet.
Step 4. Touch Allow
You may need to touch this button more than once to grant all the necessary permissions.
Step 5. Find the desired song
You can type the song title or artist name in the search bar at the top of the screen, or browse songs by category (eg. Songs ”, “ Albums ”).
Not all songs are available for download
Step 6. Touch the song you want to download
The song will soon be playing on Audiomack.
Step 7. Touch the download icon
It's a downward-pointing arrow icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. After that, the selected song will be downloaded to the Samsung Galaxy device. When it's finished downloading, you can listen to it offline.
Method 5 of 5: Using Windows Media Player
Step 1. Connect Samsung Galaxy device to PC computer
Use the cable that came with your phone or tablet.
- Use this method if you usually listen to and manage music files through Windows Media Player.
- If the “Auto Play” window is displayed, close the window for now.
Step 2. Open Windows Media Player
You can find this application in the menu
. After that, your music library will be displayed.
Step 3. Click the Sync tab
It's a tab in the upper-right corner of the window.
Step 4. Drag the songs you want to sync to the “Sync” tab
You can drag and drop songs individually if you want. If you want to move multiple files, hold down the Control key while clicking each music file name, then drag the marked files over to the “Sync” tab.
Step 5. Click Start Sync
It's at the top of the “Sync” tab. After that, the selected song will be synced to the Samsung Galaxy device.
