Ever wanted to create a personal website but didn't know how? With cheap domains widely available on the internet, you can now easily publish your website. Do not hesitate, believe you can and will succeed.
Step
Step 1. Build the foundation
A website requires two things:
- Unique domain name. Each domain name is registered with a DNS (Domain Name Server), which identifies a domain name as a unique IP (Internet Protocol) address.
- Capacity. Every website must have a capacity allocation. This is provided by a web server, many of which are managed by private companies.
Step 2. Check if the domain name you want is still available
Many websites (such as domainsbot) list available domains. You can also try checking its availability by typing the domain name you want into your browser.
Step 3. Find a website that can show you a domain name that is still available and is similar to the domain name you want
If you search for a domain name that is already in use, you will be given a list of other similar domain names that are still available. For example, if you want to register the domain name “domainhostingcompany.com”, you will be notified that “domainhostingcompany.co” is still available, but “domainhostingcompany.com” has already been registered by someone else.
Step 4. Register your domain
Look for a domain name registrar site and register your domain. (To find it, simply type into your browser "domain name registration.") You may initially have to pay a startup fee, and an annual fee for a domain registered in your name. After that, the registrar's site will grant access to the control panel for your website.
Step 5. Manage your website
From the control panel, you can check disk capacity and monthly bandwidth capacity. You can also upload and download your website content, and update website files and folders using the FTP server address.
Step 6. Add the theme
There are several applications that can apply a theme (or design) to your website.
