Honeyside is one of the properties that can be purchased in the game Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This wooden house is inside the city of Riften. Once purchased, the main character will use it as a residence in the city to become Thane. Honeyside can only be purchased after you have completed quests related to the city of Riften, and can be completed quickly and easily.
Step
Step 1. Go to the town of Riften
Riften is one of the major cities in the world of Skyrim that the Dragonborn (main character) must pass through. It is located in the southeastern region of the map and can be reached by horse or on foot.
Step 2. Enter the city and head to the Riften Fishery
Here, look for an Argonian (reptile) female named Wujeeta.
Step 3. Talk to Wujeeta
He will tell you that he is sick. Give a potion and draw information from it about the Skooma seller (you are free to choose Persuasion, Intimidation or Bribery options).
For information, Skooma refers to illegal drugs in Skyrim. Skooma's quests are part of the game's main story, starting from the very beginning of the game
Step 4. Talk to the Jarl of Riften
After getting information from Wujeeta, go into the city and talk to Jarl (named Laila Law-Giver) about the Skooma incident.
Jarl will tell you to kill the town of Skooma (another quest)
Step 5. Kill the town of Skooma
Jarl will give you the key to the warehouse located outside Riften, in the harbor to be exact. Enter the warehouse and kill the town of Skooma there.
This city is quite weak and can be defeated easily
Step 6. Go back to talk to Jarl
Talk to him to complete the quest, and he will ask you to help some of the other Riften citizens. Go back to town and find someone to help.
You can help at least 3-5 townspeople with random quests that can be completed quickly and easily
Step 7. Return to the Jarl
He'll make you Thane (the hero of the city) for helping the citizens of Riften, but before that, he'll tell you that Thane must stay in this town. Then, Jarl will say that there is a property you can buy.
Step 8. Talk to the property manager
You can buy a house by paying 8,000 gold.
Step 9. Return to the Jarl
Now, he will make you as Thane and give Housecarl, an NPC (non-playable character) in charge of taking care of the house.
Tips
- If you follow the main story of the game, you will eventually buy the Honeyside house without any tricks or shortcuts.
- Helping the townspeople of Riften is an important step in triggering the Jarl's Thane quest.
- Buying Honeyside is included in the early game mechanics. You don't need to download the expansion to be able to buy Honeyside.
