Step 1. Using a large knife, cut the avocado in half vertically
Step 2. Twist the two halves of the avocado until one of the halves detaches from the seeds
If you're only planning to use half an avocado, don't remove the seeds and inner skin just yet. Avocados that have been seeded and peeled will change color more quickly (to brown) than avocados with the seeds still intact.
Step 3. Remove the seeds, if desired, by inserting a knife or spoon under the seeds and scooping them out
Once you have removed the seeds, you can either remove them or plant them.
Step 4. Cut the avocado into squares
Cut the avocado lengthwise into uniform sizes. Next, cut the avocado vertically horizontally with a uniform width as well. After that, simply spoon the avocado filling using a large spoon.
This process will produce avocado cubes or cubes that are suitable for use in a variety of dishes or used as garnishes or additives. Most recipes that call for avocados usually require you to cut them into cubes first
Step 5. Alternatively, thinly slice the avocado lengthwise
Using long strips, slice the avocado an even thickness. This process will make a nice avocado slice as a garnish.
- Slice with the skin if you only want to cut a few slices from half of your avocado.
- Or just slice the flesh, avoid cutting the skin.
- Once you're done cutting, carefully scoop out the avocado slices with a spoon. Arrange the avocado slices wide on your plate to create a nice appearance for the dish.
