While you can't block messages from specific addresses or domains in Gmail, you can set up filters to send unwanted messages straight to the trash and never to be seen. Follow the easy steps below to get rid of all the unwanted emails.

Part 1 of 4: Using Gmail Extensions
Step 1. If using Google Chrome:
Add the Block Sender extension for Gmail from the Google Chrome web store.
Step 2. Then in Gmail open the message you want to block
You will see a button Block. Pressing this button will create a Gmail filter to block the sender.
Step 3. A confirmation message will appear to unblock
After that, a Gmail filter will be created so that all subsequent messages from this sender will pass through the inbox and be automatically placed in the trash.
Part 2 of 4: Setting Up Filters Manually
Step 1. Open Gmail
Specify the sender you want to block.
Step 2. Click the triangle on the right side of the search box at the top of the screen
A window will appear. Make sure “All mail” is selected from the drop-down box at the top left of the window.
Step 3. Enter the email of the sender you want to block
Under From, type the sender's email address.
For the search to work properly, click the blue search button at the bottom left of the window. Re-click the down arrow in the search box to return to the search window
Step 4. Click the “Create filter with this search” link at the bottom right of the search window
A new window will appear containing a number of actions that can be applied to the search criteria.
Step 5. Select “Delete it” by clicking the checkbox on the right
All messages from this sender will automatically be sent to the trash.
Part 3 of 4: Manually Blocking From Open Messages
Step 1. Click the down arrow in the left corner of the message that opens
From the drop-down box, select "Filter messages like this." (Filter messages like this).
Step 2. Confirm that the search criteria contain the correct information
The From field should already contain the sender's email address.
Step 3. Click the "Create filter with this search" link at the bottom right of the window
Step 4. In the next window, check the box next to "Delete it"
You will no longer receive messages from this sender.
Part 4 of 4: How to Undo Filter
Step 1. Go to the inbox
Open Gmail settings by pressing the gear button at the top right, then select Settings (Arrangement).

Step 2. Click the Filters tab
You will see the email address that you blocked. Click Delete (Delete) to clear the filter.
