Paper wreaths can decorate your daily activities space, become home decorations during holidays or holidays, or make events such as birthday parties to make the bride's shower more festive. You can make regular garlands, circle wreaths, and a variety of other wreaths with a few sheets of paper, creativity, and standard tools. If you want to know how to make a paper wreath quickly, follow the steps below.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Simple Paper Wreaths
Step 1. Prepare at least 10 sheets of cardboard
For variety, choose two or more different colors. Choose colors that match the season or occasion – red, green, and yellow for Christmas, or pastel colors for a baby shower or bridal shower.
Step 2. Cut the cardboard to make at least 3 pieces measuring 6.3 cm by 25.4 cm from each sheet of cardboard
Use strong scissors to cut the paper to the same size. You can adjust the size as you wish – adjusting the width of the paper cut will make the flower circle wider and adjusting the length of the paper cut will make the circle longer.
Step 3. Shape one piece of paper into a circle like a ring
Make a circle by looping the strips of paper, and find the ends of the strips so that they overlap about 2.5 cm. The most reliable way to keep the loop from coming off is to glue the ends together and wait for the glue to dry before continuing. But if you don't have the time or the patience to glue the strips of paper, you can also glue them using transparent tape.
-
If you're really short on time, you can use a stapler to hold the ends of the paper together. Remember if one loop is loose, the circuit will be broken.
Step 4. Link the circle from the paper cut with another circle
Now take another piece of paper and thread it into the first circle until you glue the two ends together to make a second circle. Glue the two ends of the second circle the same as you glued the first circle. If you want alternating colors, don't forget to use another colored piece of paper to make the second circle.
Step 5. Repeat this step until you have assembled all the circles
Keep threading each circle of paper cutouts through the previous circle and keep threading to make circles until you have assembled all the circles into a paper flower arrangement with interlocking circles. If you want the string to be longer, cut out more strips of paper and make longer circles until you're happy with the length.
Step 6. Hang your wreath
After the wreath is finished, you need to hang it. You can hang it on a tree, back porch, column, or any piece of furniture. If you want to hang it on the wall, hang it on a sturdy protruding nail.
Method 2 of 3: Paper Circle Bouquets
Step 1. Prepare at least 10 sheets of cardboard
Cardboard is slightly thicker and more durable than regular paper and will make your paper flowers look more elegant. To make a fun and interesting bouquet, choose paper with a variety of motifs, from pink and purple polka dots, green striped or plaid paper. Just pick a few motifs that will look great combined. You can also use plain paper for variety.
Step 2. Cut the paper into long small strips
Cut the paper into 3-5 pieces, depending on how big the circle you want. It will be easier to cut circles if you first cut the paper into small, long strips.
Step 3. Cut out a circle of paper
A flower arrangement will look good if the circles are of various sizes. Cut out circles of at least three different sizes – between 7.6 cm and 15.2 cm in diameter. You don't have to cut each size the same amount.
-
The easiest way to cut circles is to use a circular cutter; You can also trace the circular balls behind each piece of paper and cut them out with scissors.
Step 4. Follow the pattern of your flower arrangement
Place the circles in the order they will appear on the flower arrangement as you wish. If you want to make a flower arrangement with a double face, place the base of two circles of the same size and pattern. Put it with variations to make it look beautiful.
Place this pattern near your sewing machine so you can easily sew it
Step 5. Sew one of the circles
Choose a thread that is a fun color to hold the flower arrangement together, such as red, and sew straight through the center of each circle. Put the first circle into the machine, lower the needle, and start the machine. Then continue sewing each circle with the machine, followed by the next in the pattern you have chosen, until they are all connected with the thread. You can leave a few inches between each circle, or spread them apart or close to each other.
- The distance between the circles need not be equal or stitched right in the middle. As long as the circles stick together and look good, you'll have a great flower arrangement.
- Make a die stitch in the last circle shape.
Step 6. Hang your flower arrangement
After you make your flower arrangement, you just hang it on the wall using some plastic nails by hanging the thread on the nails. To make it more sturdy, you can use iron nails to hang it. You can also hang flower arrangements on trees or furniture.
Method 3 of 3: Paper Wreaths
Step 1. Prepare at least 10 sheets of thick paper
You'll need a few different colors to make the petals, and a few shades of green to make the leaves. You can choose any color that's fun and beautiful to look at, but red, yellow, or orange will look great. Thick paper is heavier than regular paper and will be easier to shape and bend. You will need 2-3 sheets of green paper – the rest will be used for the flowers.
Step 2. Trace the floral pattern onto the paper
Make prints for several flower patterns with several petals fused together, and trace these shapes onto the paper designated to make the petals. Then make prints of some leaf patterns and trace them on the green paper. This pattern can vary in size, but the flowers should ideally be the size of your hand, and the leaves about the size of your three fingers.
Step 3. Cut the paper according to the pattern
Use sharp scissors to cut following the pattern. You will get about twenty five and ten leaves now.
Step 4. Shape the flower
Use the scissors to bend the edges of the paper, just as you would bend a ribbon. Slide the petals against the blade of the scissors until they curl. For variety, you can make some of the petals curl inward and some curl outward – just alternate back and forth curls.
Step 5. Shape the leaves
Fold the leaf in half to make a line along the middle of the leaf, and bend it inward using scissors. This will add texture and dimension to the leaf.
Step 6. Create a pattern with petals and leaves
Now place the flowers and leaves in a horizontal pattern which will result in an interesting flower arrangement. The leaves will appear next to the petals and do not need to alternate between each flower. You can repeat the color pattern or just arrange them randomly.
Step 7. Thread the thread through the strip of paper
Thread a twine or very thick thread into a large needle, and use the needle to make a hole in the center of each petal and leaf. Then thread the thread through the holes until you have connected all the pieces of paper with the thread. When you've threaded all the pieces of paper, just cut the thread and tie it in a thick knot at both ends to hold the two pieces of paper together.
Step 8. Add a small circle (or bead) in the center of the flower
Step 9. Hang your flower arrangement
Now that you have produced your beautiful paper flower arrangement, you can hang it on the wall or hang it on a tree or furniture outdoors, or hang it on nails or plastic nails indoors. You can wrap a flower arrangement around a ledge or tree trunk.
