The real benefits of celery juice are still being debated. There is no scientific support for the claim that this is a miracle juice that can promote healthy skin formation, optimal circulation, high immunity, and various other health benefits. Even so, celery is a low-calorie vegetable that is rich in fiber, vitamin K, potassium, folate, and antioxidants. If you like vegetable and fruit juices, try consuming one glass of celery juice every day and see the health benefits you get! Remember, also consume a balanced diet that contains other healthy fruits and vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1-2 bunches of celery
- 1/2 cup (110 grams) chopped pineapple (optional)
- 1/4 cup (5 grams) fresh mint leaves (optional)
- 2 tsp (10 ml) lemon juice (optional)
- 1 chopped apple (optional)

Method 1 of 3: Using a Juicer
Step 1. Prepare 1 bunch of celery, then cut the base of the stem and leaves at the top
Place the celery on the cutting board. Use a sharp kitchen knife to cut the leaves on the top and the white stems on the bottom.
- One bunch of celery usually contains 8 to 9 stalks of celery.
- Proponents of celery juice recommend drinking one glass in the morning on an empty stomach, although no studies have shown that this juice is any more effective when taken in the morning than at any other time.
Tip: If possible, choose organic celery. This type of celery is not sprayed with pesticides or other agricultural chemicals.
Step 2. Rinse each of the celery stalks so you can clean them thoroughly
Hold the celery stalk under running water and gently rub your fingers all over the celery to remove dirt and other debris. Do this on each stalk of celery so that everything is completely clean.
You can also place the celery in a large sieve and rinse it all at once
Step 3. Insert the celery stalks one at a time through the juicer's feeding tube
Turn on the juicer and put 1 stalk of celery in the feeding tube. Gently push the celery stalks, and use push sticks if necessary. Repeat this step for each rod.
If the juicer doesn't have a built-in container, place a glass or kettle under the spout before you juice the celery
Step 4. Serve the juice immediately
Pour the celery juice into a glass and drink it immediately. Unmixed celery juice has an unpleasant taste. So, you should drink it so that the taste of the juice is not too attached to the mouth.
If you can't finish it all, store the remaining juice in a tightly closed container and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours. The ideal container is a glass jar
Method 2 of 3: Making Celery Juice in a Blender
Step 1. Prepare 2 bunches of celery and cut them into 2.5 cm pieces
Place a bunch of celery on a cutting board and cut off the white leaves and stems. Cut the celery sticks in about 2.5 cm in size and do the same with the other 1 bunch of celery.
To make 1 serving of juice in a blender, you'll need twice as much celery as if you were using a juicer. This is because you will get a lot of fiber which will have to be filtered later
Step 2. Wash the celery pieces in a colander to clean them
Place the celery pieces in a colander. Wash the celery under running water and move the pieces by hand to remove dirt and other debris.
This is especially important if you use non-organic celery so that pesticide residues and other chemicals are removed. If possible, juice it using organic celery
Step 3. Place about 1/4 of the celery in a blender until coarsely chopped
Place about 1/4 of the celery pieces in a high-speed blender and close the lid. Run the blender on medium to high speed until the celery pieces are coarsely chopped and begin to ooze liquid.
This will make it easier for the blender to grind the remaining celery. If all the celery is mashed together, you'll have a hard time getting an even, smooth consistency
Step 4. Add the remaining celery pieces and turn on the blender until everything becomes smooth
Open the blender lid and place the remaining celery in the blender on top of the first coarsely chopped celery. Put the lid on and run the blender on high speed until it reaches a smooth, juice-like consistency.
Use a mixing stick (if the blender has one) or another tool to push the celery against the chopping blades while the blender is running. Be careful not to get the pusher stuck in the cutting blade if you're using something long
Tip: To make it easier for you to grind the celery, add about 1/4 to 1/2 cup (60-120 m) of water to the blender.
Step 5. Use a nut milk bag (a type of filter) to strain the mashed celery
Place a strainer over a glass or other container and pour in the crushed celery. Lift the filter and squeeze it by hand to drain the liquid into the container. Discard any residue left on the filter cloth.
- A nut milk bag is a cloth bag that is used to filter the nut pulp when you want to make milk from nuts, such as almond or cashew milk. Nut milk bags can also be used to filter juice.
- If you don't have a nut milk bag, you can use a fine sieve or cheesecloth (cotton cloth to wrap the cheese). Remember, if you use a strainer, you won't be able to get as much juice. The resulting dregs are also more.
Step 6. Serve the celery juice immediately
Pour the filtered juice into a glass. Immediately drink the juice to get a fresh taste.
The juice can be stored in a glass jar or other sealed container for up to 24 hours if stored in the refrigerator
Method 3 of 3: Adding Other Ingredients
Step 1. Add 1/2 cup (110 grams) of chopped pineapple for a tropical touch
Pineapple makes the juice sweeter and provides many nutrients and vitamins. Puree chopped pineapple with celery using a juicer or blender for a tropical drink.
If fresh pineapple is not available, use frozen or canned pineapple. If using canned pineapple, the water in the can can also be added to the juice for added flavor. If you're using a blender, adding the water from the canned pineapple will make it easier for the blender to smooth it out
Step 2. Add 1/4 cup (5 grams) of fresh mint leaves for a mint-flavored juice
Puree the mint leaves with the celery using a juicer to make mint-flavored celery juice. Min can also make digestion healthy, which is considered one of the benefits of celery juice.
As an added bonus, celery juice mixed with mint leaves can freshen your breath
Step 3. Add 2 tsp (10 ml) of lemon juice for a lemon-flavored celery juice
Add freshly squeezed lemon juice to the celery juice and mix thoroughly to enhance the taste and add a little vitamin C. You can add lemon juice in an amount that suits your taste.
If you want, you can use lime instead of lemon
Step 4. Add 1 chopped apple to make apple-flavored celery juice
Remove the center of the apple and chop the fruit. Place the chopped apples in a juicer or blender along with the celery when you're juicing.
A good option is Granny Smith apples as they have a slightly tart taste which can help hide the bland taste of celery
Tip: You can add whatever ingredients you like to make your own homemade celery juice recipe. Some ingredients that can be added include ginger, kale, cucumber, or carrots.
