This wikiHow teaches you how to resize an artboard in Adobe Illustrator.

Method 1 of 3: Resizing One Artboard
Step 1. Open the document in Illustrator
Double-click the Illustrator project to open it. You need to display the project in Illustrator in order to be able to resize the artboard.
Step 2. Find the artboard with the size you want to resize
In the “Artboards” panel on the right side of the page, find the name of the desired artboard.
If you don't see this panel, click the menu “ windows ” at the top of the window (or screen if you're using a Mac), then click the option “ Artboards ” in the displayed drop-down menu.
Step 3. Double click the “Artboard” icon
The box icon with a plus sign (+) is to the right of the artboard name. After that, a pop-up window will be displayed.
Step 4. Change the width of the artboard
Adjust the number in the " Width " text field to change its width.
Step 5. Change the height of the artboard
Increase or decrease the number in the " Height " text field to change the height.
Step 6. Click OK
It's at the bottom of the window. The changes will be saved and the artboard size will be resized.
If you need to change the position of an object/art element on the artboard, select the object in question, then click and drag the dotted line shown
Method 2 of 3: Resizing Multiple Artboards
Step 1. Open the document in Illustrator
Double-click the Illustrator project to open it. You need to display the project in Illustrator in order to resize the artboard.
Step 2. Select the artboard with the size you want to resize
In the " Artboards " panel on the right side of the page, you can see a list of the artboards saved in the project. Hold down Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) while clicking each artboard whose size you want to resize.
If you don't see this panel, click the menu “ windows ” at the top of the window (or screen if you're using a Mac), then click the option “ Artboards ” in the displayed drop-down menu.
Step 3. Press the keyboard shortcut Shift+O
The marked artboard will be selected and its size value will be displayed at the top of the Illustrator window.
Step 4. Resize the artboard
You can type your desired size in the "W" (width) or "H" (height) column at the top of the page to resize the artboard.
If you need to change the position of an object/art element on the artboard, select the object in question, then click and drag the dotted line shown
Method 3 of 3: Adjusting the Artboard Size Against Objects
Step 1. Open the document in Illustrator
Double-click the Illustrator project to open it. You need to display the project in Illustrator in order to resize the artboard.
Step 2. Click Objects
This menu option is at the top of the Illustrator window (Windows) or the top of the screen (Mac). Once clicked, a drop-down menu will appear.
Step 3. Select Artboards
It's at the bottom of the drop-down menu. A pop-out menu will be displayed.
Step 4. Click Fit to Artwork Bounds
It's in the pop-out menu. After that, the size of the artboard will be adjusted based on the object/element.
