This wikiHow teaches you how to find and travel to villages in the Minecraft game. This can be done with a console command, which is only available on the PC and PE editions of Minecraft. The selected world must have cheats enabled before you can find the village. In the console edition of Minecraft, you can use the village locator to find villages in the world, then visit them using the map. If you don't like using cheats, you can use some tips to get to a village.

Step

Step 6. Review the results

A white text message will appear with the words "Located Village at [x coordinate] (y?) [z coordinate] " at the bottom of the Minecraft window.

  • For example, you might see " Locate Village at 123 (y) 456 " here.
  • Usually the y-coordinate (height) is unknown. This means you have to guess by trial and error method (trial and error).

Step 7. Type the command " teleport"

Open the console again, then type teleport [player] [x-coordinate] [y-coordinate] [z-coordinate]. Replace the text in parentheses with the username and village coordinates. To fill in the y-coordinate, you have to guess it.

  • Based on the example above, if the player's name is "Budi", you would type teleport Budi 123 [guess the y coordinate] 456. The name is case-sensitive.
  • Try using a number between 70 and 80 to fill in the y-coordinate.

Step 8. Press Enter key

Your teleportation command will be executed. As long as the y-coordinate you enter is not so high that you die from a fall, or you don't enter the wall, your character will land under, or above the village.

  • If you land underground, dig up to reach the village.
  • If you are spawned into a wall in Survival mode, you will suffocate quickly. This can be prevented by digging into the walls and getting out of there.

Method 3 of 4: On the Console

Find a Village in Minecraft Step 23

Step 1. Understand how this method works

In the console edition of Minecraft, you can't use commands to search for a village and then teleport to it. You must search for the seed code for a world, then enter it into an internet village finder to find the location of a village. Once this has been done, you can go to the village manually using the map.

Step 2. Launch Minecraft by selecting its icon

If you purchased Minecraft on disc, insert the disc first before you do so.

Step 5. Record the world seeds

At the top of the menu is a " Seed: " section followed by a long string of numbers. In order to find a village in the world, a series of numbers must be entered into a website on a computer.

Step 6. Open ChunkBase (village locator service) on your computer

Visit https://chunkbase.com/apps/village-finder in your computer's web browser.

Step 11. Locate the village

Step 12. Make a map and take it with you

In the console edition of Minecraft, the coordinates of your current location can be seen if you carry the map with you.

Find a Village in Minecraft Step 35

Step 13. Go to the village

Walk towards the village with the map. If the x and z coordinates intersect, it means you are near the village.

  • ChunkBase Village Finder is not 100 percent accurate. So maybe you could be near a village (but not in it). If you can't find the village right away, do a search around the area.
  • Don't mind the y coordinates for now. You'll know whether to climb or descend an area once you reach the intersection of the village's x and z coordinates.

Method 4 of 4: Finding Villages Manually

Step 1. Understand that it can take you a long time to find a village

Even in a small world, finding one village among tens of thousands of blocks was an extremely difficult job.

Find a Village in Minecraft Step 37
Find a Village in Minecraft Step 37

Step 2. Know where to look

Villages are spawned in Desert (desert), Savanna (savanna), Taiga (including cold taiga areas), and Plain / plains (including ice plains). If you're in the Jungle (forest), Mushroom (mushrooms), Tundra (polar ice caps), or any other biome where there is no village, don't waste time looking there.

Step 3. Know what to look for

Usually villages are made of planks of wood and cobblestone, and tend to stand out more than the surrounding area.

Step 4. Prepare for a long journey

The journey to find the village takes hours. So, bring basic equipment, food, bedding and weapons before leaving. It is recommended that you leave during the day and set up camp at night. Dig a shelter and cover it tightly so you don't get attacked by mobs (monsters in Minecraft).

You must leave at least one block open so you don't suffocate

Step 5. Tame animals to ride

If you have a saddle, use it to get a ride animal so you can travel quickly. Find a horse and interact with it several times without using anything until the animal is tame and doesn't throw you. Next, approach the tame horse and select the horse while holding the saddle. this makes it easier for you to control the horse while riding it.

Step 6. Find a place to make observations

Head to the highest hill so you can find the biome used to spawn the village. This allows you to observe the surrounding area so that you can identify man-made buildings more easily.

Step 7. Look for the torch at night

Fire will be easier to see at night than during the day. Although the fire seen at night may be lava, there is still a possibility that the fire came from the torches in the village.

Do this very carefully if you are playing in Survival mode on a difficulty level above "peaceful". It's best not to approach the torch until the sun is shining (noon) just in case a mob is present

Step 8. Continue browsing

Villages are randomly placed, and there's no surefire way to find them in the game without using third-party tools. The best chance of finding a village is to spend a lot of time going through every biome you come across and qualify for a village to appear.

Tips

Create a world using presets if you want to spawn a character near a village in the game Minecraft PE
