The easiest way to increase the volume of your Android device is to use the volume buttons, which are usually on the right side of the phone, or use headphones or an external speaker. You can also select and download some apps on the Google Play Store to improve the sound quality and maximize the volume.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Adjusting System Settings
Step 1. Make sure the speakers are not muffled
Clean the dust and dirt on the speakers that muffle the sound. Apart from loudspeakers, you can also plug in headphones.
Step 2. Unlock the device, then press the volume key up
To increase the volume on an Android phone, use the hardware buttons which are usually on the side. Turn on the device, then press the volume button until the display bar reaches its maximum level.
An expandable popup sound menu will temporarily open
Step 3. Open the “Settings” app on the device
Other volume settings are in the Settings menu. Drag the top of the screen down until the menu options open. Then, tap the icon that resembles a gear in the top-right corner of the menu.
Or, open the Settings menu via Apps. The settings menu icon resembles a gear
Step 4. Select "Sound & Notification"
In this menu, you can separately change notification volume, system sound, ringtone, and media. Drag the slider until it reaches the maximum volume level by sliding it all the way up or to the right.
Step 5. Close all unnecessary applications
The important thing to note is that Android devices are essentially mini computers so the ability to process data is also limited. Running a lot of apps in the background can slow down the device speed because the phone has to use up processing power to keep the apps open.
You can do this by pressing the Home button on most Android devices. You can also use an app from the Play Store (like Task-killer) to do this task
Method 2 of 2: Downloading the Volume App
Step 1. Look for a volume or equalizer app on Google Play
If the default volume of the device is not satisfactory, you can use applications in the play store, such as Volume+, to get around the volume limitation on the phone. You can also use "Slider Widget" and "Audio Manager" as "Volume+" can only be used for music.
- Download DSP mods like "viper2android" made by Viper Audio. Viper can be used to increase the audio volume beyond the limits set by the device manufacturer, and provides several other features such as a graphic equalizer and bass boost.
- Examples of equalizer programs include "Power amp" and "Equalizer Music Player Booster". Both are equalizers so you can change the volume or frequency of the music on your device.
Step 2. Download the volume app, then open its settings
Look for the app on the Amazon App Store or Google Play. Once you have it installed, run the app and tap on speaker settings. This can be named "gain".
Accept the terms and conditions. There are various options that you can do to increase the audio volume in the " Speaker Settings " section
Step 3. Adjust the volume slider
Tap on speaker modification, and adjust the volume as desired. Do not immediately increase the volume to maximum because it can damage the speakers. Increase the volume slightly above the device's maximum volume. Turning the volume up too high for a long period of time can damage the phone's speakers.
In addition, settings that are too high can make the volume "saturated" (saturated). Another screen will appear where you can "reprogram" the maximum volume on your phone
Step 4. Buy an amplifier
If you're still not satisfied and still want to increase the volume, you can buy an amplifier (like the Boostaroo) that plugs into your device's headphone jack. This is perfect for loudspeakers on motorcycles, or when you want to plug multiple accessories into the audio jack while still maintaining a high volume.
Step 5. Improve file quality using a computer
Transfer audio files to your computer using a USB cable, SD card, or other device that can be used to transfer files. Use an audio editing program to increase the volume of files on your computer.
For example, if you have a music file that doesn't sound too loud, connect your device to your computer with a USB cable and search for the file on your phone (usually a song title followed by an.mp3 extension). From there, import the file into an audio editor and increase the volume to your heart's content. Next, move the file back to your mobile device
Tips
Some devices provide the option to increase the volume while you are on a call. This option is usually hidden in the dialing settings, like the one on the Samsung Galaxy SIII
Warning
- Some of the device's built-in speakers cannot increase the volume to a very high level.
- Volume that is too loud can damage the ears.
