The barbecue will be cleaner and more controlled if you use propane as opposed to charcoal. How to use it is also easy to learn. To be able to grill properly, you need to prepare the right equipment and take safety measures. You can start a fun barbecue in no time by simply connecting a propane tank to the grill and turning it on properly.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Installing the Propane Tank
Step 1. Prepare the propane tank for the gas grill
Propane tanks are measured by weight. If you plan on grilling a lot, choose a heavy tank that contains more fuel. If you only use the tank a few times, choose a small propane tank. You can buy it at a supermarket or hardware store.
Step 2. Place the propane tanks on the eleven grills
Place it as close to the grill as possible so the hose can reach the tank.
Step 3. Check to see if the propane tank is off
If the gas tank knob is in the on position, turn it to the off position. For most propane tanks, you can turn the tank off by turning the knob clockwise.
Step 4. Remove the safety cap from the propane tank
This safety cap is a plastic cover that covers the valve at the top of the tank. Take the seal on the safety cap and pull it to open it.
Step 5. Attach the gas hose to the valve on the propane tank
The grill hose is a hose that is attached to the bottom of the grill. Rotate the propane tank so that the valve is facing the grill, and connect the end of the grill hose with the regulator attached to the tank valve; You should feel a 'click' on the regulator when it is attached to the valve. When done, tighten the hose, turn on the knob at the end of the grill hose clockwise. Keep playing until it can no longer be played.
Step 6. Arrange the propane tank on the roasting rack
The grill rack holds the propane tank under the grill. Read the user manual to find out how to attach the tank to the grill rack.
If the grill doesn't have a rack, just place the propane tank on the ground next to the grill
Part 2 of 3: Turning on the Grill
Step 1. Turn on the propane tank using the knob at the top
For most propane tanks, you will need to turn the knob counterclockwise until it can no longer be turned. Look at the arrow on the tank knob to be sure.
Step 2. Open the grill lid before turning it on
Never turn on the grill with the lid on as the gas buildup can cause an explosion.
Step 3. Turn the ignition knob from “off” (off) to “high” (high)
You may need to press the knob before it can be turned on. Look for knobs that have the symbol or have the word “ignition” next to them.
Don't be confused if the toaster doesn't turn on after you turn the knob. Chances are the grill has an electric starter and you need to press the electric ignition button to turn it on
Step 4. Press the electric ignition button if the grill has one
Look for the electric ignition switch next to the burn ignition knob. Press and hold the button until you see a fire burning in the grill. Usually the button makes a 'click' sound when pressed.
At this point, only the part of the grill directly behind the burner knob and electric ignition switch is lit. The rest of the grill knob should still be off
Step 5. Turn the other grill knob to the highest setting to heat up the grill
Turning the other grill knob will ignite the remaining grill.
Step 6. Put the lid on the grill and let it heat up for 10-15 minutes
Always preheat the grill before cooking so that the food is thoroughly cooked
Part 3 of 3: Cooking with Propane
Step 1. Use a wire brush to scrub the grill grill clean
Rub back and forth on each grid to remove food residue and grease. Make sure the grid is heated before brushing; The heat will make the grid easier to clean.
Step 2. Turn the grill knob to a low setting before placing the food
This will prevent the food from burning. If you're only grilling a small amount of food, turn off the grill knob where it's not being used. If you are using a full grill (whole grill), alternate the heat settings between medium and low so that the food is cooked at different temperatures.
Step 3. Place the food you want to grill directly on the grill grid
Position the food so that it is over the fire. For foods that don't need to be too hot, such as vegetables, place them on the side of the grill on a low setting. Place foods that require high heat, such as steaks and hamburgers, on the side of the grill with the heat set to high or low.
Step 4. Use a spoon or tongs to occasionally turn the food over
Make sure each side of the food is cooked at the same time so that it is evenly distributed. Adjust the temperature as needed using the grill knob.
Step 5. Remove the food when done and turn off the grill knob
Keep the grill lid open; the propane tank is still on and the gas can settle when the grill lid is attached.
Step 6. Turn off the propane tank
For most tanks, propane can be turned off by turning the knob at the top of the tank until it can no longer be turned. Look at the arrows on the knob to make sure the direction the knob needs to be turned.
Warning
- Always turn off the propane tank after baking. If you're worried about forgetting, stick a reminder on the grill or set an alarm on your phone.
- Never install the grill cover while the propane tank is on and the grill is not running.
- Do not try to turn on the grill when the lid is on.
