Rotisserie grilled chicken is an easy serving option even when you have to refrigerate it for a few days before eating it. To reheat rotisserie roast chicken, remove the chicken from its packaging and determine whether to reheat it in the oven, on the stove top, or in the microwave. Warm the chicken to 75°C and serve hot with your favorite dish.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Grilling Chicken
Step 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare a dish
While preheating the oven, remove the roasted chicken from its packaging and place it in an oven-safe dish or container.
Step 2. Cover and roast the chicken for 25 minutes
Put the lid on the container and place the chicken in the preheated oven. Bake the chicken until it reaches 75°C. You can measure the temperature of the chicken with a special, easy-to-read thermometer for grilling meat.
- Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken.
- If your dish doesn't have a lid, cover the chicken with aluminum foil.
Step 3. Open the lid of the dish and roast the chicken for another five minutes to get a crispy skin
If you want the chicken skin to be brown and crispy, remove the cover and put the chicken back in the oven.
Bake for another five minutes until the skin is golden
Method 2 of 3: Saute Chicken
Step 1. Shred or cut the chicken into small pieces
If you only have a small amount of grilled chicken left or you only want to reheat it partially, cut the portion of the chicken you want to heat, then shred or cut the chicken into small pieces.
The thickness of the meat should be 2-5 cm
Step 2. Heat 1-3 teaspoons (5-15 ml) of oil over medium heat
Use less oil if you're only heating the chicken a little and use more oil if you're going to be sautéing a full pan.
Use vegetable, canola, or coconut oil
Step 3. Saute the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes
Continue to stir the chicken meat while it is heated. Turn off the heat when all the chicken pieces are hot.
- Remember that some of the edges of the chicken can become crunchy when heated.
- Heat the chicken until it's steaming hot because you can't check the temperature with a thermometer.
Method 3 of 3: Microwave Chicken
Step 1. Set the microwave heat to medium setting
If your microwave is programmed with a percentage, set it to 70%.
Step 2. Place the chicken in a heatproof container
If you're reheating a whole chicken, consider heating it in a heatproof dish so that the chicken juice can sit on the plate.
To speed up the reheating process, try shredding or chopping the chicken into small pieces. Place the chicken pieces or shreds in a heat-resistant container
Step 3. Heat the chicken for 1 1/2-5 minutes
If you are heating a whole chicken, heat it for 5 minutes before checking the inside temperature of the chicken.
If you are heating chicken pieces or shreds, heat them for 1 1/2 minutes before checking the temperature
Step 4. Check the temperature of the chicken meat if it has reached a temperature of 75°C
Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken. In order for chicken to be safe to eat, the heat of the meat must reach 75°C.
Step 5. Consider heating it in the oven for five minutes if you want crispy chicken
If you want the whole roasted chicken to have a crispy skin, reheat it to 180°C.
