A leave-in conditioner can help lock in moisture while making it smoother and shinier. This conditioner is usually used when your hair is still wet or damp, but it can also be used on dry hair. However, the price of commercial leave-in conditioners may be quite expensive. Meanwhile, leaving your regular conditioner on your hair can make it look dull and flaky. Luckily, leave-in conditioner is easy to make at home, whether it's a spray or a cream.

Tips
- Some of this conditioner may separate. If this happens, simply shake the container.
- Spray conditioners containing coconut oil may need to be slightly warmed before use.
- You may have to melt coconut oil before using it in recipes.
- Conditioners containing essential oils should be stored in a glass container or spray bottle. If you don't have a glass bottle or container, use a high-quality glass container.
- Fractionated coconut oil is coconut oil which is liquid at room temperature.
- Sunlight can damage the properties of essential oils. So, store the conditioner in a dark place.
- If you don't have distilled water, use filtered or bottled water instead. You can also boil water and then let it cool.
- If the temperature around you is warm, you may need to store the cream of conditioner in the refrigerator to prevent it from softening.
