Jesus Christ is the only mediator that connects God and man because we can reach God only if we follow the path that Jesus showed us. Do you want to know how to strengthen your faith? Read the following instructions.
Step
Step 1. Strengthen faith by studying the bible so that you receive the measure of faith through God's word
God says in Romans 10:17, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ."
- Faith cannot grow only by praying, begging, fasting, or abstaining. The only way to grow faith is to live the word of God in Romans 10:17.
- The scriptures remind us to always pray. Although praying is an important aspect of growing faith, the development and strengthening of faith stems from the habit of listening to and applying God's word in daily life.
- Faith will be stronger if you read and study God's word in the Bible continuously. In 2 Thessalonians 1:3, God says: “He will strengthen your heart and guard you against evil” so that you can live life according to God's promises in the Bible.
Step 2. Look for scriptures that say that Jesus Christ had perfect faith in His Father, that is, unconditional belief
Jesus is the living word of God. Faith is one of the fruits of the Spirit that Jesus promised before He returned to the Father. This is always shown by people who have experienced being born again in the spirit when they experience ups and downs:
~ "…the fruits of the Spirit are: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" (Galatians 5:22-23).
Step 3. Be a believer who experiences new life through repentance (turning around) and always being faithful to Jesus Christ
Thus, you will receive a measure of faith and the Holy Spirit. So, according to God's word, every person who repents will receive grace so that they can no longer reason because God said: Do not think about things that are higher than what you should think about, but think in such a way, so that you master according to the measure of faith which God has given to each one of you.” (Romans 12:3).
Cultivate faith and let faith lead you to experience the things that you desire, but have not seen that are in harmony with your beliefs and God's will so that they can be realized and useful in everyday life. The results you get are because of faith, not just because of hope because this is the way God has given us to receive all that He has provided
Step 4. Love your fellow human beings
How can you love an invisible God if you don't love your visible fellow human beings. God reveals Himself to you in various ways: proving His love for you through the elect, through His Son, speaking, sending the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ.
In Galatians 5:6, God says: "only faith works by love"
Step 5. Trust that God always fulfills His promises and cannot lie
Having this faith is the only way to have faith that can move mountains of trouble. You can't trust God if you don't know Him by feeling God's presence through worship. Worship means taking time to be alone and using it to study God's word, communicate with God through praise and prayer, know the Lord Jesus through the life, way, and truth that He teaches in the scriptures.
Abraham in Romans 4:19-21 was a man of great faith. He is not influenced by his environment, fully believes that God will fulfill His promises, and always glorifies God
Step 6. Connect with God so you can fellowship with people who believe in God
~ “And again I say to you: If two of you on this earth agree to ask for anything, their request will be granted by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:19-20).
Step 7. Cultivate faith by giving God opportunities to reveal Himself
You can know God because He is always with you. Even if it is not visible, draw close to God so that your spirit is renewed with a measure of faith so that you experience changes in things that are physical and visible.
Step 8. Take action based on faith
Faith must be manifested through action, not just by thinking and speaking because what you believe you only get by acting. After that, you will get real results as you wish because you expect God's goodness. In Joshua 1:8, God told Joshua to have faith in the law:
~ Don't forget to say this book of the law, but meditate on it day and night, so that you act carefully according to all that is written in it,
for then your journey will be successful and you will be lucky.” (Joshua 1:8)..
Carefully understand the words of Jesus in Mark 9:23. Jesus said that anything is possible for those who believe. “Believe” is a verb and must be followed by action. Otherwise, Jesus would have said: “Nothing is impossible for a believer!” Faith is a noun. Faith is a gift from God to us
Step 9. Meditate on God's words
Do regular meditation to meditate on God's word and know what action you should take. Bearing witness, proclaiming God's word, and giving testimony about God's goodness are part of prayer and meditation. You can meditate by reading, understanding, and speaking God's words to yourself.
Step 10. Strengthen your faith by harmonizing your thoughts and words, then show your faith through sincere actions, don't just pretend
God's Word is real, but only for those who truly believe in Him. As you meditate on what constitutes and is shaped by your beliefs:
Be careful what you think about.
Your thoughts determine your actions.
Use the opportunities you have wisely.
These actions shape your beliefs, identity, and character.
Know your character because every aspect of character building will determine what you have and experience.
What you have and experience defines who you are.
So, the sentence: "Your thoughts define who you are" is a true statement. (Based on general opinion).
Step 11. Reward yourself by praying in tongues to strengthen your faith
(Jude 20).
Praying in another language is a way of developing a spiritual life according to the New Testament
Step 12. Take time each day to pray and meditate on God's words in your mother tongue and in tongues to keep your spirit active
God said:
~ "But you, my beloved brethren, build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit." (Jude 20).
Step 13. While meditating and praying, open your heart to accept God's presence in your daily life
Contemplating and acknowledging the truth of God's word is able to grow trust and strengthen faith so that you are able to apply it in your daily life.
Step 14. Don't worry
When negative thoughts arise, immediately control them and replace them with praise to God because He lives only in and through those who believe in Him:
~ "I will praise Your name to my brothers and praise You in the midst of the congregation". (Psalm 22:23).
Step 15. Look for answers to why God is present in the praises of believers
It is an honor for God to have made a tabernacle of stone, but right now, God dwells in you.
- Thus, “tent” means a proper dwelling place for the Lord in the spirit of the believers:
- However, the universe is God's house. So, why does God dwell in the spirit of the believer?
- Heaven is His throne, earth is His footstool. God does not need to be served. God dwells in the spirits of believers to serve them.
Step 16. Imitate Jesus by faith so that you become like Christ because He alone is the only way, the truth, and the blessed life
Thus, the spirit of the repentant and saved believer is “a dwelling worthy of the Lord”.
Tips
- When your faith is shaken because of facing very severe difficulties, God seems to be unfaithful. However, this is God's way of strengthening your faith, namely when you triumph over the temptation to doubt God.
- Strengthen faith to achieve success in life by meditating on God's word and proclaiming the holy book.
- One way to prove faith is to love one another because God already loves you according to His word: “But I tell you the truth: It is more useful to you if I go away. For unless I go away, the Comforter will not come to you, but if I go, I will send Him to you.” (John 16:7). You must also share this incredible love and spirit with others.
- Strengthening faith in the right way will strengthen belief in your religion.

Know that you cannot strengthen your faith by being hostile to an unbeliever or hating other people.
You can be angry with yourself for making mistakes while asking the Holy Spirit and God's word to guide you to learn we are holy and apply God's word in love. Be kind to others according to the words of Jesus: "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
