One of the best things that Facebook has to offer is that it allows you to connect with friends and celebrate memorable friendships. When you upload photos, comment and react to friends' uploads, you are creating online “memories” of your friendship that can be shared via the “On This Day” option. Facebook also always puts a collection of memories on your newsfeed page so check that page every day. Features like these are a great way to remind your best friend (and yourself) about how special the friendship you two have been.

Method 1 of 2: Using the “On This Day” Feature
Step 1. Open the Facebook news feed page on your computer or mobile device
Log in to Facebook using your username and password. After that, you will automatically be taken to the news feed page. You can also click the “Home” button or the Facebook logo in the bar above the Facebook website.

Step 2. Click “On This Day” on the left side of the screen
The “On This Day” or “On This Day” options are displayed under the “Explore” tab on the website. This tab itself is in the bottom half of the page.

Step 3. Review the memories that occurred on today's date in previous years, and select the entries you want to share
The “On This Day” or “On This Day” segment shows various Facebook activities that occurred on this day in previous years, since you became a Facebook member. At the bottom of the page, you can see other memories Facebook thinks you'll like. Look for a “Share” or “Share” button under each post. You can determine who can receive or view the content.
- If the post is private from the start, you can't share it. Therefore, you will not see the “Share” or “Share” option on some posts.
- Posts from “On This Day” or “On This Day” that are shared will appear on the newsfeed page of anyone you allow to view. You can also tag friends in posts and comment on shared memories.
- You'll only see posts from “On This Day” when they're shared.
Step 4. Share the one year anniversary video on your friendship day with someone
Sometimes, the “On This Day” or “On This Day” feature will let you know that you were friends with someone on this date several years ago. If available, Facebook will create a video that collects some examples of your interactions and friendship activities on Facebook. Posts like this are very special and need to be shared to show your friends how happy you are with your friendship!
- Keep in mind that Facebook only auto-generates those videos for the friends you're in frequent contact with. Videos like this will not be shown to anyone.
- Unfortunately, one year anniversary videos are not always available. Videos like this will be automatically deleted at night.
Step 5. Filter memories if you want
Sometimes, Facebook unintentionally celebrates moments you'd like to forget. The “On This Day” or “On This Day” feature offers the option to exclude some people and dates. Click “Preferences” after you have entered the “On This Day” or “On This Day” page and select people and/or dates that Facebook should not celebrate or display.
Apart from you, no other user will know that he or she has been excluded from the feature. Your friends won't get an online notification that you've made that choice
Method 2 of 2: Checking News Feed
Step 1. Update the news feed daily
Most of the “On This Day” features and other memorial recapitulations are featured on the newsfeed page. To make sure you don't miss an opportunity to celebrate friendship, check the news feed once every day.
Step 2. Share the recapitulation of memories collected by Facebook
At the top of your feed page, you'll sometimes see a collection of memories that Facebook has collected from the past month, year, or season. These collections generally include photos that you upload or bookmark your profile for. Each recapitulation has the option to share at the bottom of the post.
You can also include a message such as “Last year's vacation with Kiki and Emi was great!”
Step 3. Check the celebratory messages Facebook sent
In addition to memories, Facebook can also send you new and interesting “benchmarks” information that you and your friends have achieved on Facebook. These messages will also appear at the top of the newsfeed page. For now, only you can see the celebration. However, if you want to share it, take a screenshot and upload it as a photo!
- These benchmarks could be simple things like “Friends with 100 People on Facebook” or “Getting 1000 Likes from Friends on Your Posts”.
- In the end, Facebook may provide the option to share the celebrations live.
Step 4. Follow the latest Facebook features
Constantly, Facebook presents new ways to celebrate your friendship with friends through its website or app. The “On This Day” or “On This Day” feature is only two years old! To keep you up to date with Facebook features and updates, search the internet for “new Facebook features” every month.
