This wikiHow teaches you how to message your friends on TikTok, as well as check your inbox, using an Android device.
Step
Part 1 of 2: Sending Messages
Step 1. Run TikTok on Android device
The icon is a black square with a white musical note inside. This icon is usually in the Apps menu.
Step 2. Touch the icon
located at the bottom right of the screen.
Your profile page will be opened.
Step 3. Tap Following below your profile photo
This will display the number of people you follow at the top of your profile. A list of people you follow will open.
Alternatively, you can touch Fans next to Following to see a list of people following you.
Step 4. Touch the user you want to send the message to
Find the user you want to chat with, then open their profile by touching the person's name in the list.
Step 5. Touch the Message button on his profile
It's below the user's photo at the top of their profile. Doing so will open the message screen.
Step 6. Enter the message in the text field
Tap the text field at the bottom of the message screen, then type the message you want to send here.
Step 7. Touch the red paper airplane icon
This button is to the right of the text field. Your message will be sent.
Part 2 of 2: Checking Inbox
Step 1. Tap the square-shaped conversation bubble icon at the bottom of the screen
A list of all notifications will open in a new page.
Step 2. Touch the inbox icon located at the top right of the screen
It's in the top-right corner of the notification list. Private messages sent by your friends are placed here.
Step 3. Touch one of the messages in the inbox
The message will open in full screen. You can read all the messages in the chat, and reply to them here.
