Want to go bold on the dance floor? Want to spread a naughty message or just have fun while appearing sensual? Grinding is a dance in which the hips rotate as the partner dances; The movement is relaxed and fun. If you can grind, feel free to look sexy at parties or nightclubs. Here's how.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Approaching a Dancing Partner
Step 1. Plug in the ear until there is the right song
While you wait for house or hip-hop to play, scour the dance floor for a partner you want to grind with. Don't take the floor when the song is slow so you lose the chance to dance grind. You can choose to approach someone or just go on the floor with friends and then mingle.
Step 2. Find a dancing partner
If you're brave, approach your potential dancing partner and just ask, "Hey, do you want to dance?" But if you want to be more subtle, just dance until someone catches your eye. Then, you can code him a nod and smile as you dance closer…and closer… until you and him finally touch. However, it's best not to approach strangers without making eye contact because you'll end up being rejected.
Step 3. Take a position
Usually the man behind the woman and starts the grind. Or, you can also face to face, then the woman while dancing slowly with her back to the man. The man while behind the woman should keep a decent distance, but close enough to put his hands on the woman's hips or sides when the right moment arises.
Women should keep a distance of about 30 cm at the beginning of the dance. You can come closer when it feels like it's clicked
Part 2 of 3: Grinding
Step 1. Move your hips in a circular motion
Usually the men are behind the women, but it's okay to switch positions. The women's hips twist and the men follow. Before a man touches a woman, it's best if both (or all three) match the rhythm first until it's comfortable.
- If you are in front, move your buttocks regularly in line with your partner's crotch. You take the lead.
- If you are behind, follow the movement in front. Your hips should be parallel or not far apart and one of your feet can be between your partner's legs.
Step 2. For men, place hands on woman's hips
When your movements are flowing comfortably, the man can put his hands on the woman's hips. A man's hand doesn't need to be gripped hard -- as long as it's just right so your grind shakes can be even more intense. Women can bend their knees slightly so that their partner goes down.
- As the woman moves down, her hands may run down her thighs to her knees.
- Women's arms can move freely. His arms may rise and fall to the beat of the music or sweep over his own thighs or knees.
Step 3. Go lower and lower
If the woman shakes her ass, it's natural. The longer the woman can move the more down until her hands touch the knees or hold the man's hand near the waist. When the woman leans forward, her buttocks will slightly rise so that they are closer, even rubbing the man's body.
- Men's hands may rise from the hips to the woman's lower waist, parallel to the lower back. This maneuver is still legal as long as the man remains polite and the woman is not disturbed.
- If the woman is brave, she may come down until her hands are close to or touching the floor and her buttocks are high.
Step 4. Do a lot of grind
Sometimes a group of dancers grinds to form a chain. Usually alternating male and female or all female. Sometimes two women snuggle up to a man, then other dancers join in. Don't hesitate to do whatever makes you happy.
Grind dancing in a crowd can be more fun than just one partner, but it definitely requires more coordination. If one person in the chain begins to bow, the others must follow
Part 3 of 3: Practice Your Grinding Technique
Step 1. Do the grind to the right and left
It's boring if your movements are the same. So after you and your partner are comfortable doing a mediocre grind, do a variety of movements to the right and left. In this move, if the woman is to the left, the man is to the right, so you are always on the opposite side. Even if you keep your back to your partner, you can glance at them with this gesture.
Step 2. Perform face-to-face grinds
You can also turn to face your partner during the grind. Women can wrap their arms around the man's neck while the man's hands remain on the woman's hips, and both keep their hips rotating in sync. You don't have to stay in this position either. Vary it by turning around a few times whenever you want.
Step 3. Master the slow grind
There's no need to rush off the dance floor as soon as a slow tempo song plays. If you are comfortable and happy with the existing partner, why stop? Just go on! But with a sexy slow motion. No need to be clumsy. You simply slow down the tempo of the dance. If you hesitate, your partner will think you're out of style.
Tips
- Put your drink first before doing the grind. Don't let your drink spill from the excitement of your grind.
- If someone suddenly gets behind you and grinds without your permission, just calmly step aside and turn around so you're facing them, and if necessary, shake your head to signal "no." You don't have to be forced to grind with someone just because you rushed to the floor. You still have the right to set a privacy distance.
- Maybe you'll be laughed at when rocking grind. It's probably not because you're not good at dancing, but it's a really hard dance to do while still looking cool. Just join in the laughter and have fun.
Warning
- Usually people don't like to dance with a pushy partner. For women, if your partner puts his hands too high, lower them to your waist or hips. If he insists on holding on again, stop dancing and just walk away. Dancing grinds doesn't mean you let other people grab you.
-
Men may experience an erection when grinding. If this happens, there is no need to be ashamed. Erection is a natural reaction of a man's body when friction occurs like this. For men, there are several ways to hide an erection:
- Try to correct the position of your genitals, if that doesn't work, you should excuse yourself from a few minutes to "down".
- If you know there will be a grind at the event, wear tight underwear. The triangular model (brief) in this case is better than the boxers model.
- If it still doesn't work, just let it go and keep dancing. Maybe your partner even likes it! If he doesn't like it, he's free to go.
- Bend your knees deeper so that friction occurs under your stomach or turn your torso slightly so that friction occurs against your sides.
