Suddenly want to eat cookies? This desire is usually very strong. Unfortunately, most people don't bother to prepare 1 dough recipe and get their hands dirty as soon as the urge arises. No need to worry because you can use the microwave! If you don't want to make a cake with chocolate chunks, that's fine. You can add other flavors such as cinnamon or nuts.

To Make 12-18 Chocolate Chip Cookies
- cup soft butter
- cup packaged brown sugar

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1¼ cup flour
- tsp powder developer
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks
Step
Method 1 of 3: Making Chocolate Chip Cookies
Step 1. Beat brown sugar and butter
Take a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons brown sugar with 2 tablespoons butter. You can use a fork to mix it up. Stir the sugar and butter until it becomes a light and fluffy mixture.
It will be easier to beat the butter at room temperature. If necessary, you can soften the butter in the microwave for 5 seconds, heat another 5 seconds if it hasn't reached the desired softness, and so on
Step 2. Add vanilla and milk
Pour teaspoon of vanilla extract and teaspoon of fresh milk into the butter and sugar mixture. To mix the liquid ingredients with the butter mixture, you can use a fork or a small spatula.
Once you've added the liquid ingredients and stirred until well combined, the dough should have a semi-liquid consistency
Step 3. Add dry ingredients
Now, you can add 3 tablespoons of flour, but start with 1 spoon first. Then add a pinch of salt and baking powder. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of flour and stir until the mixture is well combined. Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder while continuing to stir.
Do not over-knead the dough as the cake will become tough
Step 4. Place the dough on the parchment paper
Cut parchment paper 15x15 cm. Use a spoon to shape the dough into a ball and place it in the center of the parchment paper. Press the dough to make it a little more even.
- Pressing the dough to make it slightly flatter will help the cake rise and cook evenly in the microwave.
- You can add some chocolate chips on top of the cake if you want a cake look with more chocolate and a stronger chocolate flavor.
Step 5. Bake the cake in the microwave
Place the parchment paper with the cookie dough on a microwave-safe plate. Bake the cake for 40 seconds in the microwave. If the cake still looks raw, bake it again at 5 second intervals until the cake is fully cooked. Let the cake cool for a minute before removing it from the parchment paper.
Cakes are best served or enjoyed after baking. If left too long, the cake will harden
Method 2 of 3: Making Chocolate Chip Cookies in a Cup
Step 1. Melt the butter
Prepare a small cup for baking cookies. The cup should make room for the cake to rise as it bakes. So, use a cup with a capacity of about 230 ml. Place 1 tablespoon of butter in a cup and heat in the microwave until melted.
It doesn't take long to melt the butter in the microwave. Start with 5 seconds before adding more time. Do not let the butter boil as it will splash against the walls of the microwave
Step 2. Add sugar, vanilla and salt
Add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of packaged brown sugar, and a pinch of salt, then stir. You can use a spoon, fork or small spatula to stir. Make sure all the ingredients are well mixed and there are no more lumps of brown sugar.
You can use 2 tablespoons of similar sugar if you want. Brown sugar will give a rich taste because it contains molasses
Step 3. Add the egg yolks
Crack 1 egg and separate the yolk and egg white. Set the egg whites aside as you won't need them for this recipe. Add the egg yolks to the cup with the butter and sugar. Stir in the egg yolks until well blended.
You can store egg whites in the refrigerator and use them for other recipes. However, you should use it within a few days.
Step 4. Add flour and cocoa powder
Pour in less than cup flour and stir the mixture in the cup until smooth. Add 2 tablespoons full of cocoa powder and stir again until the chocolate chips are evenly distributed in the cup.
Do not eat dough that is not cooked because it contains raw egg yolk
Step 5. Bake the cake in the microwave
Microwave the cup filled with cookie dough and bake for 40 seconds. Check if the cake is done. When it's done, the cake will look dry. If the cake still looks mushy or raw, bake again at 10-minute intervals until fully cooked. Serve or enjoy the cake immediately.
Do not bake cakes for more than 1 minute total. The baking process will continue as the cake cools. So, don't bake in the microwave for too long
Method 3 of 3: Making Chocolate Chip Bar Cookies
Step 1. Beat butter and sugar
Add cup soft butter and cup brown sugar to a bowl. Use a spoon or hand mixer to beat the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
If the butter is still firm, you can place it in a plate or bowl and heat it in the microwave. Make sure you don't melt the butter
Step 2. Add liquid ingredients
Add 1 egg, 1 tablespoon milk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix the ingredients until well blended. Make sure the eggs are well beaten with the other ingredients.
If you don't have vanilla extract, replace it with almond extract or don't use it at all
Step 3. Add dry ingredients and cocoa powder
You can add 1¼ cup flour, teaspoon baking powder, and 1/8 teaspoon salt to the batter in a bowl. Use a spoon or hand mixer to stir the dry ingredients until well combined. Pour in cup of cocoa powder while stirring gently.
Do not over-knead the dough as the resulting chocolate chip cookies will be tough
Step 4. Roll out the dough in a tall baking dish
Grease a 20 cm tin with butter and flour (make sure the pan is microwave safe). Pour the mixture into the pan and smooth it out using a rubber spatula or spoon. Sprinkle the remaining cup of chocolate chips over the cake batter.
You can also use cooking/baking spray to grease the pan
Step 5. Bake chocolate chip sticks in the microwave
You should bake the dough in the microwave on high for 3½ minutes. Check that the dough is dry and firm enough. If it's still raw, continue baking at 20-second intervals, checking frequently to make sure the cake is done. Wait for the cakes to cool before you cut and serve them.
