This wikiHow teaches you how to record videos of up to 60 seconds in length to Snapchat on an Android device.
Step
Step 1. Open Snapchat on the device
Find and touch the icon
on the application menu/page to open the application. Snapchat will show the camera window after that.
-
If Snapchat immediately loads the profile page, touch the button
in the upper-left corner of the screen to return to the camera window.
Step 2. Press and hold the white circle icon at the bottom of the screen
The icon is the camera shutter button. On hold, the icon will turn to a red circle and the video will be recorded.
Step 3. Wait for the animation around the red shutter button to form a full circle
The shutter button will turn into a red circle when you record a video. One loop of animation around the shutter button (red circle icon) is the equivalent of a 10-second video.
Recording will continue as long as you hold down the shutter button. If the button is released, the camera will stop recording video
Step 4. Wait for the full circle animation to reappear around the red icon
You can still record video as long as the shutter button is held down.
You can record videos with a total duration of 60 seconds in a single message. This means that there are six animated loops around the red circle icon
Step 5. Touch Send To
It's in the lower-right corner of the screen. The contact list will load and you can send the video to your friends.
Alternatively, you can tap the “ Save ” at the bottom and save the video to the segment “ Memories ” or folders “ Camera Roll " device.
Step 6. Select a contact
Find the contact you want to send the video to, then tap their name. A blue tick will appear next to the name of the selected contact.
You can also choose " My Story ” if you want to upload videos to the daily Story thread.
Step 7. Touch Send
Once the button is touched, the video will be sent to the selected contact.
